Big game this saturday night at North Canton in the "WIN" Tunnel!

With home court advantage, can the Vikings knock off the Blue Streaks and tighten up the Federal League race?

Looks to be a good game.
Lake has some business with Boardman to take care on Thursday, before they are worried about the Vikings.

Is the game a night time game? I was under the impression it's the normal 1/2:30 time slot?

Interesting...

HighSchoolSports.net says Varsity game starts at 2:30 PM.

Lake HS site says JV games starts at 1:00 PM.

Hoover Lady Vikings Basketball site says 7:30 PM.

Anyone know for sure?

No, no, no. If it's an afternoon game, I can go there before watching the Hiland vs St. Vincent-St. Mary's girls'-boys' doubleheader at 6. :)

Hoover has Glenoak Thursday. While I'm all for the players staying focused on the next game, if either struggle with those matchups we don't need to talk about this game.

Hoover moves to 12-2 With a 81-52 victory over Glenoak. Bring on the Blue Streaks!

This game just got a whole lot bigger with Perry's win over Mckinley.
A Lake win puts them 2 games ahead of Mckinley in the Fed race and 3 over Hoover with 3 league games left after Saturday.

Another way to look at it- a Lake loss put the Vikings & Bulldogs only 1 game back!

This time Hoover has the home court advantage!

They both still have to play McKinley round 2 so Saturday doesn't decide anything, but it certainly has serious implications for the league title chase and even more so for seeding.

Hoping for a big crowd...these teams and this matchup deserve it. Go Vikings!

Sloppy 2nd half but Lake improves to 14-0 with a 54-48 win.
Lake needs wins over Glenoak and Perry to capture 1st ever Federal league title and 1st league title in 26 yrs.

Hoover was as cold as the weather and Lake barely escaped. Once our guards concentrated on getting the ball in to Stroemple and Worley instead of jacking up 3s Hoover was right there. The D was solid in the 2nd half, the guards forcing turnovers and the bigs taking away Lakes inside game. We'll see the Streaks again, hope they are ready for the Stroemple and Worley show

Don't you mean the hold, hack, shove, and elbow show? That was quite an example of the "Let's commit 80 fouls, because don't worry, they'll only call about 20 of them," strategy.

Going by this description it sounds like Hoover was at a supplemental contract meeting with the Canton BOE and didn't believe the outcome.

WAAAAAAA! for once Hoover didnt get somes calls on the home court. imagine that!. a 1 pt win in that place is a good win..so our 6pt win is really nice!

You just described the Lake philosophy perfectly. Those refs should be embarrassed especially the first half, everytime Hoover got the ball inside they were hammered with no call including when the Lake defender saddled up Stroemple and they called a travel.

Haha keep the excuses coming. You arrogant Hoover puds never give the other team credit whether we win by 6 or 18.Both teams didn't shoot very well.As for seeing Lake again we will see.

I guess the win tunnel wasn't that big of a factor.

Haha the girl straddled her after the travel.Take the blinders off!
I guess you missed Warren and her thug move on Stephens.

I'm done with this arrogant sore loser.Time for dinner.
