Jonathan Alder @ Philo

Big opening game coming for both schools that are trying to get back to the playoffs. Potentially a lot of points up for grabs. Sounds as if both teams have quite a bit coming back. Neither team fan bases knows much of the other. Who do you take in this game and why?

This should be a blast of a game. I know JA comes to Bloom-Carroll not long after this one.

Looking forward to this game. But not the drive there and back :ROFLMAO:

Should be a good one. Alder is pretty senior heavy on both sides of the ball this year. Sprinkle in a couple of juniors/sophomores seeing time on both sides.

Alder looked decent vs Teays Valley on Friday. Offensive Line had three new starters to break in. They have the potential to have a dynamic offense with a solid running attack and a collection of athletic/speedy receivers.

Defense looked pretty solid against the run. Wouldn't say TV passing game was stout, they looked to be more of a running team.

Definitely looks to be a great matchup. Philo has a few seniors juniors and a couple sophomores that look to all contribute. Only lost a handful of players from last season. Alder looks to be a stout test to open the season. Trying to stop the run while also not getting burned through the air will definitely present a challenge. Stat wise Alder looks very balanced.

If Philo plays like they did in the first half of last nights scrimmage, it will be a long night for them. If they play like the third quarter it should be a game. Came out flat and went down 24-0 at the half. Scored 3 times on the 3rd to make it 24-21. Jv played after that.
