JJHuddle Alumni!

I joined JJ Huddle in 1999 or 2000, can't remember exactly. I remember the last time I posted there I was arguing with Queencitybuckeye about the Canfield vs Fitch game from 2003, but the argument took place around 2009 or 2010. I joined here around 2010 or 2011.
I had the same name on JJHuddle.

Sure it was me? I'm not sure I could get within 50 miles of either school on a map.

He may have you mistaken for FootballQueen, a longtime Fitch poster.
Maybe it was that, it was almost 15 years ago so it is hard to remember everyone's names over there. It definitely had Queen in it somewhere haha
It probably was FootballQueen then.

I don't recall when I joined the Huddle but my username was thethrill.

Scipio had some great posts and insights. There was once a thread about best usernames and I think muhahaha was chosen the winner. I also recall the friendly rival banter between Keith and Big Blue who was from Sandusky. It was the place where all the NW Ohio realignment talk first started, now a similar thread on Yappi is closing in on 200 pages.

Amazing how a thread commemorating a site that had a pittance of Stark County argle-bargle in its final five years gets derailed by said nonsense.

I recall a poster by the name of Judgesmalls and everyone would refer to him as judgesmales and he’d lose it every time.
Wasn’t there also a popular poster on there with the name of Said Aouita? I think that’s how it was spelled.

I believe you’re seeking @said_aouita (spelled like the runner.)

In all due respect....the Huddle has become like that nasty relative who everyone complained about until they die. Then after they talked about how nice they were. When the Puddle was still here - at least the last couple years - all people did was b!ch about it. All due respect.

I will point out that it was the board for Central Ohio in the 2010’s and the migration over to Yappi took years — in that transition we lost likely 50-75% of the posting contingency and that’s because of the board’s shoddy shuttering due to his carelessness & greed.

I was Levi and later LeviHHS (for HooverHigh School) after my initial Levi was banned. I joined early on in the 1999 football season when it was on the insidetheweb.com servers and I was banned 7 times because of Steubenville old timers and Massillon fans did not like my opinions. I think I posted on JJ's until like Jan 2001 when the Shepas crap started. Literally I was banned one time and JJ himself emailed me and said he had like a dozen guys threaten to not donate to the site if I continued to post my hate LOL but would let me back on. I created my own forum "Orange Crush" through the same ( insidetheweb.com ) server that did JJ's at the time but JJ at the time let me advertise my site on his. I got a lot of hate because people started posting anonymously stuff about then Massillon coach Rick Shepas some true and some speculation. My site was subject to a front page of the Massillon Inde and at least 4 articles by Terry Pluto then of the Akron Beacon. Thing is Shepas retained legal counsel over it, I was banned from JJ's again and it (the gossip) leaked onto the good old Cleveland.com forums. Even the server shut down my forum for a few weeks but I literally re-opened it within hours under a different ID. I was even contacted by Massillon people up high about what was posted on there and I admitted to them I was working a ton of hours at my job and I moderated it myself but I turned over the IPS addresses of much of the anti-Shepas stuff was linked to a certain educator of Massillon City schools that others were just posting about, think OB  Suddenly I was left alone by them.

I remember State Championship weekend 2000 and I met JJ and a bunch of folks at BW3's in Massillon on thursday night. Despite how people were online everyone was super nice and JJ himself hugged me and tried to buy me beer but I told him I am not old enough but he did get me some food and he told me I could pick where I wanted Hoover to be ranked in the Preseason Poll for 2001. I remember telling him in the bottom half of the top 10, but he ended up putting them #2 after Colerain and before Massillon because by that time I had my official falling out with them and was posting on here regularly. I even went back Saturday afternoon at PBTS picnic area and I remember meeting Buckeye Bill, Crimson & Black and CATS44 (aka Jotham) and none of them would talk to me but they would just awkwardly look at me but everyone else was again very nice.

I was never on it but I agree. I believe the timing was around when they started charging to be on there that all of the whining and griping started. Can't remember how long ago that was but I sure remember it.

The cleveland.com forums back in the day were the wild west of an online community, kind of fore shadowed how Twitter would end up being a decade or so later. Basically no moderation with folks throwing out all kind of rumors and innuendos and plenty of personnel attacks, like I said just like Twitter today.

Got booted so many times I don't remember.

Nothing beat the old Mooney-Steuby wars.

The rape case thread must have had 10000 replies

I remember the moment I knew JJ was full of dung.

He was pre game analyzing our state championship game and said he had a feeling that player XYZ was going to be the sleeper and the key to the game.

He was injured in week 2-3 and hadnt played all season and wasn't even dressing.

That's when I realized he was full of it.
