Schools being shut down is a problem in hiring. You also have people who don’t want to leave their current job or coaches who have been there, done that and don’t want to be head coaches anymore. The Powers in charge have created some real problems in HS coaching. Good luck everyone ?

Ashen Ward named VASJ. VASJ made it official today and announced that they hired Pepper Pike Orange Head Coach Ashen Ward as the Vikings new head coach, Ash is a graduate of VASJ in 2008 and played under former HC Dave Wojciechowski now at Harvey, from 2005-2008 and was apart of 3 straight final four births including a State Title appearance in 06 in a loss against North College Hill. Ash played at Youngstown State before returning to VASJ as an assistant under former HC Babe Kwasniak ‘94 and served as Orange’s HC for the past couple of seasons. Congrats Ashen and welcome back home to the Village!
