Maybe they would. But they aren't the world beaters of the early 2010s. Same as Sandy Valley had their run recently. Malvern had their run in late 2000s-early 2010s. Relatively same size school. That's all I was looking at for an idea of an addition to the northern schools.Canton Central would eat this league up.
IV been there, done that. They would prob win it every yearDo Claymont and IV join #PACtion?
Garaway and Ridgewood are the two smallest schools in the IVC South. You might be on to something. IV, Ridgewood and Garaway possibly have outgrown the rest of the league. When is the last time one of these 3 schools lost to one of the other schools? Doesn't happen often
Currently for sure. No debate.IV been there, done that. They would prob win it every year
CCC is not your normal small school. Even last year they finished 5-6 but 5 of those losses were to teams that made it to at least the 2nd round of the playoffs and some further. They typically play 1 or 2 Federal league teams, Louisville, Alliance, along with other much larger schools. Historically they always play one of the most difficult schedules for a school their size. While I understand your logic of looking strictly at enrollment size, this is program where numbers don’t tell the whole story.Maybe they would. But they aren't the world beaters of the early 2010s. Fair point. Changing CCC for Aquinas makes it better, to most people. I personally like better competition, but do understand CCC could score 100 on a few of these small schools.CCC is not your normal small school. I wouldn't even consider a team's recent history when it comes to expansion because all it takes is a change in leadership for a school's fortunes to go way up or way down quickly.Currently for sure. No debate.
Historically IV had some really good years in #PACtion™ but also appeared human, too, in other years.
Travel is the issue IMO with #PACtion™ and IV and some other schools but definitely not your level of play. You've crushed that to your credit.
The IVC has some fine progrums so unless the league breaks up this is a non issue. Plus in your non league schedule you're picking up Dover & Steubenville. You're playing tuff schools in your neighborhood.
It's good to be an IV Brave right now.

I also have to laugh at people saying Tuslaw and Fairless should join the IVC. It is NOT an easier level of play. In fact, it's tuffer most years and the travel to the IVC is farther at least for Tuslaw is concerned.
I'm not sure about Fairless in terms of travel distance but I know the Silent Flock (Falcons) don't like to go north of US 224 in Akron due to travel. Tuslaw is fine with it if the opponent makes sense. Again, Tuslaw is closer to greater Akron and you'd be surprised at the amount of Tuslaw people who work in greater Akron. It's similar to Northwest and Manchester.
I vote for non league games with the IVC if there is an opportunity and Tuslaw will always try for WCAL games with eventually, hopefully, adults growing up and putting Dalton back on the Mustangs schedule.
Smithville and Doylestown make a ton of sense for us in the non league portion of our schedule. They're really close and make sense.
Fairless playing some IVC teams in the non league schedule makes a lot of sense, too, along with the WCAL.

Carrollton is a school to look at for the IVC. There's history there going back to the old Senate League. Aquinas for the smaller schools. Minerva makes "some" sense but there's an elephant in the room with them. The elephant is 4-95. That win/loss record is worse than our Congress in DC. I think Congress is 6-93 with a forfeit from Eric Swallwell with Fang Fang in that win/loss record.
Coshocton makes some sense but if they want to drag RV in there that's a tuff call to make. Coshocton at times has had tuff teams but they're not consistent. River View needs a lot of help; they should pay people to watch the game if they play Minerva.
I feel like we had that discussion for a lot of years at TV.I wouldn't even consider a team's recent history when it comes to expansion because all it takes is a change in leadership for a school's fortunes to go way up or way down quickly.
I remember when playing Garaway was viewed as the easy week to pad stats and get a lot of the younger guys playing time. Well, Garaway decided it was important to be good and hired a good coach and have supported that coach in multiple ways to help build a great program. A similar thing happened at Indian Valley.
We had a motivational speaker at the beginning of the year and he used the phrase, "the grass is green where you water it.". How true is that?
If a school decides they want to be good at something and puts resources towards being good at it they will find success.
The kindergarten students at Minerva right now are no different than the kindergarten students at West Branch, Indian Valley,, etc. Minerva has everything they need to be good at football if they choose to be
...except the kindergarten kids at West Branch could probably start for Minerva right now ...I wouldn't even consider a team's recent history when it comes to expansion because all it takes is a change in leadership for a school's fortunes to go way up or way down quickly.

Ironically enough one of Minerva's 4 wins in this stretch came against West Branch back in 2019. West Branch went 2-8 that year with wins over bad Carrollton and Canton South teams. Since then they have been really good....except the kindergarten kids at West Branch could probably start for Minerva right now ...
I don't think you can sign until DecemberTusky Valley's Ben Congdon just signed with the University of Miami. He got a full ride scholarship. IDK if many IVC players have ever gotten a full scholarship to a major D1 college.
He verbally committed to Miami. Very happy for him. Forget the IVC, there aren't many T-Country athletes in any sport that have received scholarship offers from a school such as Miami. Amazing accomplishment for him.I don't think you can sign until December
From what I was told this was just never a good fit from the beginning. District decided to move on. Pretty rough timing to decide to search for a new coachTusky Valley posted on their Facebook page that they are now looking for a head football coach what happened?
Hopefully TV can find someone that wants to be there and is willing to build it back to where it was. From what I was told this was just never a good fit from the beginning. District decided to move on. Pretty rough timing to decide to search for a new coach
Zach Gardner is right down the road and is proven to be a program reviver and can instill the tuffness that TV needs in the program. I’d go all out to get him, but that’s just my opinion.Hopefully TV can find someone that wants to be there and is willing to build it back to where it was.
Can’t imagine he has interest in it. I’m sure he’s happy to be at Dover.Zach Gardner is right down the road and is proven to be a program reviver and can instill the tuffness that TV needs in the program. I’d go all out to get him, but that’s just my opinion.
Are we sure the TV job is actually open? They still haven't posted anything the OHSAA site. They don't seem to be doing anything to attract candidates. Are they promoting an assistant?Hopefully TV can find someone that wants to be there and is willing to build it back to where it was.
They posted it on their Facebook page. Hopefully they are able to find someone willing to put the time and that person is given the support they need. Are we sure the TV job is actually open? Yes but how many people are checking a random schools Facebook page? It's just kind of strange it's not on the OhSAA site which makes me wonder if they have someone lined up already. They posted it on their Facebook page. I guess TV has already started the interview process. I was told not to expect much as there weren't many applicants. Probably another inexperienced coach who will be in over their head.Yes but how many people are checking a random schools Facebook page? Insanely sad and I and the TV community expects better out of this board. Tusky valley football used to be the best run program in the county only behind Dover. And now it’s… this.I guess TV has already started the interview process. I was told not to expect much as there weren't many applicants. Biggest problem there is the lack of available coaches. Haven't hired coaches in at least 10 years and there are really no jobs open there. Tough to find the best candidate when there isn't a place for the best candidate. If you are trying to find the best combination of the one spot you have open, both positions will be worse off.I guess TV has already started the interview process. That Tusky Valley no longer exists. Anyone with any association with the program will all tell you the same thing about the struggles there.Insanely sad and I and the TV community expects better out of this board.
