How many of these well-known tourist attractions have you been to?

Avoiding NYC hurt my number. Lol.

10

Grand Canyon
Disney World - as a kid
Everglades
Washington Monument
Niagara Falls
Gateway Arch
Wright Bros
White House
Liberty Bell
Arlington

I've been to exactly half of them (17). I noticed that there are no Rock 'n' Roll sites like Graceland, nor any military sites, except for Arlington. Natural attractions are also left wanting, Chicago River but no Mammoth Caves?

What counts as visiting Pikes Peak? I guess the closest I've been to that is Manitou Springs where I had a pretty good view of the peak but wasn't "on" the mountain. I remember driving up 12,000+ feet at Rocky Mountain National Park before though.
I was maybe 9 when we went up the rickety cog railway. I still remember the guide telling us not to worry if it fails, there are two big springs at the bottom....Manitou Springs and Colorade Springs. It was instant love. I wonder if she ever married....
Some more I would add:

9/11 Memorial Site
Gettysburg National Military Park
Broadway Party District in Nashville
Colonial Williamsburg
Faneuil Hall

I'd put Gettysburg on my to-do. I've been to Tennesse a couple times for this day-thing or that day-thing or driving through., A two week vacation there would by nice. Maybe Tenn and Kentucky combined. Heard many stories from people who enjoyed their time there.

Yeh, I don’t really get the Chicago River? I’ve seen the Monongahela River that has to count for something.

Was that escort from last year, January 6th?
Spy for the KGB, can't really talk about it...That's what we told everyone anyway.

I was a chaperone on my sons 8th grade field trip. One of the kids I was in charge of had made a threat to a teacher in 6th grade, they missed that in initial screening. They send you through in alphabetical order and he was behind me. I was in the middle of a room with about 25 other people from the class when two guys in trench coats called my name then pulled me aside and whispered to me the deal... he couldn't be alone so they escorted both of us outside the perimeter fence to wait. They apologized for missing that on initial screening, pretty serious fellas them dudes.

Julie was the hot blonde, right?
You're probably thinking of Martha Mitchel, the one on the far right. Julie Nixon is on the left.

Honest count? I'll say 11 of the sites. Been to DC a couple of times and driven by many of the listed sites, but not actually been inside. I could only count the Lincoln Memorial, Air & Space Museum, and National Cathedral.

The Alamo - a bit disappointing. Thought it was out alone in the desert, like the John Wayne flick.

Mall Of America - not so great ten years ago, but it was the cat's meow in 1994. Back then they had two stores that sold really cool 3-D hologram photos, framed as art. Amazing for its time. Felt like you could walk into each one. There were two photos I remember to this day:

- a large photograph of a boy's bedroom with a telescope looking out the window where you could see the night sky and the moon. As you got real close, you could "look into" the telescope viewfinder, and see a 3-D closeup of the moon. Pricey at $300.

- photo that "moved" as you walked by it, like a gif - An attractive woman in her boudoir, wearing a corset with garters, stockings, and high heels. She was posing on her bed with one leg up in the air and her hands on that stocking, a la Bettie Page. As you walked by, she slowly rolled the stocking down her leg. All of us guys in the store kept running into each other trying to get the full effect. I wanted to buy that one. Mrs. Z said no.
