I have only seen the first 10 seasons. I started season 11 but my DVR missed a couple of episodes, so i need to wait for them to come on again to watch the rest. If you like that , you will probably like " Wildfire" it's streaming on Amazon Prime. It pre-dates Heartland but has similar story lines.

I am already on season 5. I enjoy the family type shows and think we need more shows like this on during prime time.

I need to read better. I googled "homeland" and wondered what planet you're from.
From the imdb description, this one sounds like Little House modern but I'll give it a try. Someone earlier recommended another canadian, Kim's Convience. It's family type. First season best, fish out of water kind of stories. Later seasons dipped a bit into the, everyone takes a turn doing something stupid but it all works out trope but the characters are likable anyhow.
