Anyone catch the Mason-Hamilton game last week? I was looking at stats this morning, and there was only 262 total yards of offense between the 2 teams? Somehow 35 points were scored. And there was 165 yards in penalties. And only 2 turnovers.

Looks like it was quite a bizarre and sloppy game.

Everyone’s LW predictions sure we’re conservative. 52-0 at half.
Yes me included. Quite possibly the worst Sycamore team I’ve ever seen. If not for several penalties on West it might be even worse. At times they’ve looked somewhat competitive on defense and even picked off West once in the red zone but they’re completely overmatched on offense. 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns. Also a punt blocked on special teams and West returned the opening kickoff for a TD. Also overall numbers lacking.

GMC Power Rankings:
West-Just took a couple years to take over the District for players and get to the top of GMC. Larry Cox always had talent but you could count on them screwing it up. I saw many of their games for a couple years. Didn't take an expert to see the lack of discipline and a consistent lack of offensive system.
Princeton-They get to smack the Blue next week then West and Fairfield back to back. Going to have to be at one of these.
Fairfield-Solid, don't think we have anything special here. 5-0 going into the Princeton game. The advantage of schedule for the Vikings game.
Mason-By default. These guys define average every season. I think the guy is an ok coach. They check many boxes to be solid. I don't think they ever win the League with him. Annual 6-4 to 8-2.
Nobody else is any good at all. Kind of sad.
Colerain-Party is over.
Hamilton-Whatever.
Oak Hills-Not good, change leagues, but not last.
Middletown, East, and Sycamore.-Middies and Birds will have coaching openings. Popeye finally out at East. Middletown is a difficult place to win in football.

Oak hills finished 6th in the GMC all-sports standings last year just behind Fairfield. They are in the perfect conference. Colerain on the other hand…

Colerain is fading fast. Its sad to say but... give it a few more years and if changes are not made in NWLSD Colerain may be like their sister school and struggle to even field teams and programs let alone be competitive in the GMC.

Perfect, Colerain and OH out. Bring in Kings and Lebanon.
Haha. Funny. Milford couldn’t compete in the GMC and they are as good as both those schools. Lebanon is middle of the pack at best in the ECC. Your credibility is about as strong as Middletown’s athletic programs.

Lebanon would become the OH in Football if they were in the GMC. Kings is the most natural to the GMC. Their enrollment is a bit lower. D2 in football. The positives, natural rivalries and game crowds would be better. The GMC has some great rivalry games. Are there any ?? vs OH or ?? vs Colerain games that anyone considers a rivalry?

There is no benefit for any current ECC school to make a move to the GMC.

If you want some rivalries.... make week one Kings vs Mason, WW vs Princeton, and maybe a Loveland vs sycamore (just due to how close the districts are)... Any other games would just be games. Now I agree, half the ECC could compete in the GMC at the level of a Colerain, Hamilton, Middletown, Sycamore but there is no reason why a Lebanon, Milford, LM etc would want to leave where they are.

Colerain's only rivalry in football is LaSalle that is just down the road. As long as they play them close that will be one they keep playing for a few more years

If Harrison keeps growing and with the disbandment of the SWOC they could compete in most boys and girls GMC sports right now outside of football.
Edgewood fields Varsity, JV and some freshman team sports. They would be competitive in ALL sports in the ECC, Ladies sports in the GMC and compete with the bottom 5 schools in all sports in the GMC.. However they are moving to the southwest buckeye with Ross where they can be very competitive.
Talawanda has some nice facilities and outside of football could compete with most of the GMC or ECC schools in all sports. They like Harrison are on the outside looking for a league. Talawanda also fields Varsity and JV in all sports even a Ice Hockey Team like Mason, Sycamore and some GCL schools have.

I would like to see WW vs Princeton
