GMC 2025

Have you been inside of the Princeton football locker room /Princeton football stadium (multiple locker rooms) lately? . Obviously not. They are over 40 to 50 years old my friend.

Mice, Mice &*^% in the lockers, NO central air and no ventilation, chipped paint, leaky roofs, inadequate restrooms, just to name a few of the issues....
Nope, haven't been in the locker rooms there in probably 7 or so years.

They are 40-50 years old? So what? Who cares. Plenty of teams have locker rooms that old or older. Why didn't Princeton maintain them?

Central Air.... .that is a want, not a need.

Mice and Mice feces in the lockers is the fault of Princeton. 1. Seal your building(s) up properly so they can't get in. 2. Make sure there's no food in there....My guess is there is plenty of food in kids' lockers and laying around. Hire an exterminator and take care of the rodent problem.

Chipped paint, again, why wasn't this cheap maintanence item dealt with? That's Princeton's fault again for not maintaing their facilities that they are charged with maintaining.

Leaky roofs.... Again, maintenance. You have to do it. Things have lifespans, and when you ignore them, problems compound. You can't expect the community to build you something brand new and shiny due to negligence and refusal to maintain your current building(s).

Inadequate restrooms..... in what way? Do the toilets flush? If yes, they are adequate. If not, fix the problems.

Again, this is all Princeton's doing. They have been bad stewards of the public's tax dollars. I don't care how old the buildings are, maintenance is a need, not a want. It's cheap to paint. Roofs don't last forever and must be replaced and funds need to be there for when they do. Plumbing, same thing, items need to be replaced when the lifespan is up. This does not equate to over 20 million dollars in renovations, especially when the district is threatening closing schools and laying off staff.

I'm guessing the money is earmarked for athletic or facilities maintenance and cannot be used for District general expenses....it looks terrible but probably no way around it

As WCPO.com reported, the renovations at Princeton are being funded by the district's operating budget.

The Princeton stadium project is being funded through the district’s operating budget, according to a news release. The debt payment for the project is approximately $1.2 million annually until fiscal year 2042 when it increases slightly until it is completely paid off.

Upgrading concession stands is just one of the parts of this project that should not be funded by a school district's operating budget.
And to take on debt that you will pay back for decades to do it too. It's mind blowing the incompetence with thinking this is ok.

And to think this was the scaled back version, the original plan was for 65 million dollars.

Yes and no....it isn't going to get any cheaper and some repairs and upgrades had to be done.

Princeton first had turf in 2003. They have replaced it at least once since then.
It was replaced in 2016 according to their own website. It's the base layer that is 20 years old and needs replacement.

I haven't heard of any other stadiums needing that done....is that something that gets done with turf replacement typically?

I was miss informed by a member of the board walking my neighborhood Saturday asking if they could put a sign in my yard. I said no and then proceeded to ask questions about school levy. I just told them it was poor planning and timing that they announce stadium upgrades right as a tax levy was being announced. I know the upgrades are needed, but still not doing it right put field turf down on baseball infields as well . Just my 2.5 cents

Middletown probably waiting for spring ball to end and evaluate some film as well.

Top: West, Princeton, Hamilton
Mid: East, Mason, Middletown
Lower: OH, FF
DEEEEEP: Colerain, Sycamore

Thought may change after portal signings, standby
I think Oak Hills will be top half. Very good senior class. Curious to see what Mason will be with an actual legit offense now that Datillo is the offensive coordinator. Princeton and West are obviously loaded, and Hamilton will be good. Lakota East and Middletown won't suck. Fairfield might be bad, Colerain will be worse, and Sycamore won't win a game.

Need to see how that West QB shapes up, definitely not a runner or at least not the same runner as Wiles.

Death, Taxes, and Princeton drama posts domination off-season GMC talk LMAO

Oak Hills hasn't beaten a D1 team with a winning record in 2 decades. Who are the 5 GMC teams you are predicting they finish ahead of? I will certainly grant you FF/Colerain/Sycamore, who are the other 2?

I would pick them 4th right now over Lakota East, Mason, and Middletown. I just think this will be the first time where they have a lot of talent and a good coaching staff at the same time. Max Rhodes is an extremely good player, and they should be hard to score on. Also should have a good offensive line and passing game. Teams with speed will still give them problems, but they will be hard to beat on the line and in the front seven.

Coach Roden said O-Line is an area of concern. So no way are finishing in the top half if that is true.

Only a few more months before you start *&^%^&* Bolden's 🥩...:ROFLMAO:

I did see where he said that, but they return 3 starters on the offensive line and one of them was 1st team GMC.
Returning 3 OL wouldn't be an area of concern for most coaches. We will see. I'd love to see Oak Hills finish above .500, I'm just not too hopeful.

why is there so much concern about how princeton is spending their money? unless a lot of you live in the district, who really cares?

i heard oak hills is putting in new visitor bleachers, should we start a 5 page rage fest over that lol.

Princeton is my neighboring district and I know and like a lot of people at that school and I want good things for them. Personally, I'm not sure spending $22 million on a football stadium upgrade while making cuts elsewhere is a good thing for that school district. $22 million also seems like an awful lot of money when Sycamore just built a brand new stadium for $5 million. I do not live in the district, but I am concerned when I see them spending money foolishly.

Are the visitor bleachers costing 22 million?

No, it's not.

This is necessary maintenance, not an upgrade of something that was just upgraded.

then start its own thread. so people that don't care how they spend there money don't have to listen to the "know it all" tie up a thread thats supposed to be about the gmc and football. its as tiring as el dorado saying oak hills sucks at every chance he gets.

You could since you keep commenting on it genius.

It's relevant to he GMC.
why would i comment on something i don't care about. no its not relevant either, know it all. this is the football board, hence a football thread about the GMC. how you or others feel about how it's getting paid for and how much it costs isn't about football.
