Girls tennis: Jerome wins clash between state-ranked teams
Dublin Jerome won 3-2 over New Albany in a match featuring two teams ranked in the top 10 of the first Division I state poll. The results:
Singles: Kobelt (N) def. Utklin 6-1, 6-0; Buell (N) def. Madara 6-3, 6-3; Doran (D) def. Nini 7-5, 6-1. Doubles: Easdale-Farrar (D) def. Barnes-Setnar 6-1, 6-3; Gill-Schnell (D) def. Guthrie-Hess 6-3 6-1.
Also, the Upper Arlington-Columbus Academy match slated for Wednesday will be played at a later date. We'll pass on the information once a date is agreed upon. Both teams are ranked No. 1 in the state poll in their respective divisions.
