And it’s likely that something will.
Before the season started the AFC North was supposed to be so tough. Ravens are the only complete team even if Jackson was to go down they could still win the division. Stealers offense is beyond bad, browns have a good offensive line, but Watson is far from elite and the Bengals are not going anywhere less Burrow heals in a hurry.

the whole AFC is open at this point. Only two undefeated teams left and I don't see either running away with anything.

AFC teams that are shoo-ins for the playoffs:

Chiefs (AFC West champ)
Jags (AFC South champ)
Ravens
Bills
Dolphins

Teams going nowhere:

Colts
Texans

That leaves nine teams fighting for two playoff spots:

Bengals
Browns
Steelers
Patriots
Jets
Titans
Chargers
Broncos
Raiders (was close to adding them to teams going nowhere)

I think we'll be putting the Raiders, Broncos and Patriots in that middle group shortly.

It's a little early for this, isn't it?

Remember just a month or so ago when the running backs were having zoom meetings and crying because they weren't getting compensated fairly in their eyes. Well, we can't have much more proof than the last few days. Saquon Barkley and Nick Chubb, two guys that are top running backs in football, one is down for a month, and the other the season or possibly more. Now these guys are incredible backs and game changers, but they also play a position that one, doesn't get near the touches it used to and two, has a high risk of injury because of the violent nature of the game.

Interesting that ESPN chose not to show Nick Chubb's injury. How ironic. In the day of social media, you literally have it at your fingertips within seconds. One of the most famous, gruesome injuries is of course Joe Theisman's broken leg by Lawrence Taylor - before the internet - and was basically shown on a loop for days. So ESPN- all liberal jokes aside, decide to not air a clip that everyone wanted to see. Seriously, you can't write this stuff up.

serously, not everyone wanted to see it. It's just not everyone needs that to get their dckhard. Announcers now as opposed to then, almost always warn or don't show, knowing that people have other options to see it if that's their need. It's called "courtesy," "compassion," respect for the injured. I understand your confusion.

It's just so against typical TV thought. I mean that's why you do all the camera angles and replays, and yes, they always tell people to turn away if they don't want to see it. I just think it's fitting for liberal ESPN to "decide" to do that. No more, no less. I saw it plenty of times on social media. Don't watch racing, but do they not show wrecks anymore?

Not everyone watches football to see the human body contorted in a gruesome way. How is that hard to understand?

Shoo-ins after week 2?

I refer you to Monday night's injuries, which IMO kills the Brown's chances, and they are my team. If Mahomes goes down, the Chiefs are sub .500. Ditto for Lamar or Allen.

What sort of sick f__k wants to see that? Not me. It was in my twitter scroll and I wish it wasn't.

Chubb is my favorite player on my favorite team, a quiet young man who worked hard to overcome this same type of injury in college. Made himself great. It is heartbreaking. But I guess if you get some pleasure from watching it, have a ball...

Ravens lost Lamar for 5 games last year and still made the playoffs and overall unfortunately they are a better team this year than last year. Queen and Smith are 2 of the best linebackers in the game. When they get all their starters back minus Dobbins the ravens are going to be very tough to beat even without Lamar but esp. with him.

ESPN could have just said turn your heads if you don't want to see the replay, IMO not a big deal either way.

It's awful what happened to him, there's no debating it. Just odd that a TV network would make that call when it's exactly what they do. It's not pleasure watching it, but it's reality. We see reality on TV all the time.

Maybe the NFL would like to be better than "reality tv." For Nick Chubb's personality dignity and for the sake of his family, I'm very pleased that they chose not to air it on national tv. Sorry, but I think most people would agree with that.

I doubt Nick Chubb would care one way or the other sure his family members might care. Again Espin could have just said turn your heads if you don't want to see it. I pay good money to stream live events such as football I should be able to make that decision myself. My feeling is if youtube would show the injury as it happened the views would be off the charts. People are hypocrites, not you necessarily but most people say one thing and do another when something like this happens.

why are you so confident your "doubts" are anywhere close to good decisions? I doubt, they lost viewership. Regardless, their network, their business. 🤷
I don't know why he would care if it was replayed, if it was me in that situation and it is not, I could care less if they replayed it a million times.

BTW it is up to 8.9 million views on twitter: https://t.co/1NsANtybfp

Don't watch some may consider it to be gruesome.
