Week 3
Favorite game of the week in the Co-Ed will be CJ - Hartley. Over/under 7 passing plays total? This game will be over in an hour.
Fenwick takes on their former HC who is now at Monroe. Not sure if there’s bad blood there but would have to imagine Monroe takes it to them.
Badin will get in the winning column against Edgewood.
Carroll has a good shot to stay undefeated until GCL play (the schedule is cake though).
McNick will roll again this week against KIPP.
Will be interesting to see Alter against Taft without their QB. Feel so dang sorry for the kid! Is he planning to play at the next level? Hope his career isn’t over.

Watched Badins live stream Friday. They are horrendous on offense this year. The Oline is a sieve and the QB was getting killed in this first varsity start. Defensively they are just OK. I won’t be at all surprised if they only win 4-5 games. Next year will be better as most of the players will have another year of experience and growth, but it’s going to be a down year for the fighting Yordi’s

Have no idea on the Knights but fairly certain this is the Rockets year in the league. I actually thought that before I saw Badin and Alter lost their QBI’ll admit this doesn’t make me sad.

Agreed. Still a lot to learn. Taft vs. Alter is interesting. Seems like Taft held up solid against the run vs. CJ so intrigued if they can do it against Alter (Doubt it). I think Badin is too well coached to not end up with a winning record. IMO Carroll gets out of the Coed basement this year.

Hard to say because it’s still early in the season but I would be shocked if Badin scores 17 against Edgewood let alone win by 17

So Badins offense is that bad? I was thinking it was just the quality of the competition. It will be interesting to see what they do against what I assume is just a so-so team (Edgewood)

Desales d line was good but Edgewood played two pretty tough D I teams. From what I watched Badin has no horses on the O line except the center. Their guards are not big and get no push. Right tackle was getting beat routinely by #53 from Desales. Hamilton dominated Badin without their best D lineman. Some years you just done have the horses

Alter will be running the Wishbone and using short waggle style passes and TE Pop Passes off of their dive series. They do not need a great QB to execute these schemes. Alter will rely heavily on its ground game and strong defense. They will beat Taft 21-14. You can book it!!!

No, Mueller left Fenwick in horrible shape, his reliance on transfers that didn't grow up at J23 or going to Fenwick games led to a mass exodus. Monroe is a public school they still have talent. It will be a 3 year rebuild, like I've said since they hired Cranford, he'll get 8th graders wanting to come to Fenwick and graduate just like he did last time.
You continue to ignore my consistent prediction that Fenwick will be off until they have some time to get more talent and nobody in this thread wants to read you bashing a a group of 16-17 year olds that'll go 3-7/4-6 so for the love of all things holy cut it out. I didn't lose sleep over the Franklin loss and you lose sleep whenever we win a big game. It's weird, you might want to see a therapist.

Just really young, 10 new starters on O. Should see some improvement vs. Edgewood. If this Badin team can stay healthy I can see them being a 7-8 win team (counting a playoff victory or 2). Just going to take time to gel. They played 2 solid teams coming out of the gate. Likely won't see that level of team again until Alter, CJ, McNick.
Badin had a nice run, this year may be a struggle by their standard but they'll be back.

I'm sure they will, but the Monroe players seem to really like Mueller as well. I think they will come out with some extra emotion because it's his ex-team. This is also an old MML rival and they have played quite a bit as OOC opponents since the disbanding of the MML. Hell, the schools can't be much more than 10 minutes apart, it's a natural rivalry even without the added twist. Last year was a battle that came down to the last minutes of the game.

With a week's heads up will be very telling how Alter's staff jerry rigs the QB position. In that short time frame guessing very limited playbook and a strong focus on exchanges, wedge blocking and a between- the- tackles approach. Rugby scrum variants. Taft will be a lift.Alter is worse than the Bengals... at least the Bengals have a second-string QB, albeit he sucks, but at least they have one.
Once again, Alter has no junior or sophomore capable of playing QB. They have to rely on a freshman!

Alter embarassed by Taft. No offense,defense did not step up. They best dig deep. Next 2 opponents Trotwood & Bellbrook. High probability 1-4. They will be facing conference leader Carroll (say that again. Conference leader Carroll) Hats off to Patriots think they will be 5-0 to start league play. I know extremely soft schedule but winning builds confidence you never know. They face Northwest & Talawanda both 0-3. Badin down, this is year of the Rockets.

Absolutely! Losing your QB who was also your punter hurts because they were running all sorts of schemes and rugby with him. Their special teams have looked ugly the last two weeks. The defense looked unprepared to deal with their speed and matchups.
Trotwood may beat Alter by 30+ next week.
