It appears the Alter defense is playing well. Or at least well enough to win. I would expect that the offense should be improving week by week and a co worker mentioned that a couple of key injured players are back this week. Would not be surprised if this is the week Alter rights the ship and gets back in the Win column.

I feel like every year the last couple years Alters record hasn’t been what it should be. And every alter poster comes out of the woodwork, myself included and acts as if the world’s falling apart. Yet it seems that they always steer the ship right. And make a deep playoff run. If I’m sitting atop of R16 or even in the 4, 5 or 6 slots I wouldn’t want to face Alter round 1. It wouldn’t shock me at all if they made a deep playoff run because that’s when the light bulb seems to come on.
The Alter program is having tough year. Key injuries, lack of depth and a tough schedule. Stop the calls for Coach D to step down. That is ridiculous. We need more kids playing football. Youth feeder teams are getting 19-24 kids. Some say it is flag football keeping the numbers down. (on feeder level) The rise of the Fairmont program plays a part in the athletes local choice of schools. Thought with the ED Choice might see better numbers at Alter. Hope is the knights can salvage season with a few wins to end season and get a win or 2 in playoffs. GO Knights!!!

Alter is in a must win situation. For years they've found a way to win these types of games.

Badin defense has been solid all year, offense has started to pick it up (albeit against less than stellar competition). This will be Badins toughest game since Desales. If Alters starting qb is still out I give the advantage to Badin, if he returns then it's a pick'em game.

Probably right especially if he is teaching or working as administrator. Really hard to walk away from public school pension program. Salary also likely much higher in Trotwood

The last few years Badin has had Alters number. Before that it had been like 20 years of dominance for the Knights. In a year where both teams have very strong defenses I expect this to be low scoring ballgame.

The knights defense is gonna win them this game, I don't suspect Badin putting up any more than 2 scores on the board. This is considering their high level performance against McNick's offense last week.

Two scores by Badin is likely enough. Alter has scored more than 14 points once this year. Badin's strength is D, I don't see Alter scoring more than 14 against them.

Would not surprise me if Alters offense scores 2+ TDs this week. With how bad their offense was last week. And Jones coming back this week. Wouldn’t surprise me if they score a couple TDs. Alters defense is their strength as well pal. Wouldn’t shock me if this isn’t low scoring either. With both teams being defensively strong.

Freshman do, parents do, varsity coaches do. You cannot get better if you don’t play. Frosh and JV football is very developmentally critical and anyone with half a brain knows this.

You continue to show your ignorance. Tell me wise guy when the varsity practice ends where do the varsity players go? They go watch the frosh game. Where does varsity head coach go? He goes to sideline to watch and encourage players and coaches. I’ll concede that scores don’t go in newspaper but there is a deep investment by school community in developing players.
I get it though, you never played the game so you don’t understand.

I don't disagree with the low scoring part, but I think Badin's offense is better than Alter's. I expect it to be a close game and the first one to 14 likely wins.

How bad were the first 4 teams Carroll played that they are getting trashed since game 5 especially in Coed play? I really hope they turn that program around…what’s it been 4-5 years since they were competitive?

Carroll 0-14 last 3 years in the Coed. They were 2-3 in 2020. Last win v Fenwick.
