GCL Coed 2024

Final 43-6. Measuring stick game next week for the Knights down on the Eastside.
Looking forward to it. Should be fun.
Drew Pasteur who is pretty accurate in predicting outcomes and point spreads ( he’s been within 10 points for all McNick games) has the Rockets a 20 point favorite v. Alter. I don’t see that happening…more likely a one score difference.

I think the Rockets win this game but it’s going to be a nail biter. Alter has had their number for years. Weather forecast for Friday is very good, no excuses. How is Alter handling the QB situation?

What does Pasteur say about the other two games? I imagine blow outs but it’s tough to get a read on CJ and Badin. I didn’t get the chance to see CJ because of the weather but it seemed like McNick scored at will. Badin is really well coached, as is Alter. Their “down years” mean 6-7 wins.

Your right tough to read Badin and CJ. CJ beat lousy teams. Mc Nick smoked them.

Badin has turned it around all be it against sub par teams. Coach is one of the best.

Staying with Mc Nick to win conference, have nice state run. Regional winner maybe more. (another good coach)

Alter to end up 5-5 limp into playoffs. (very tough year for injuries, depth is not there, very tough schedule). McNick will beat Alter by 2 scores or more. They are due, they are at home and they are the best in conference

CJ most likely will 5-5 could be 6-4. Have a feeling last game versus Alter will be game each will need to insure playoffs

seems like the freshman played well against carroll, then again that's not saying too much. I wonder how Alter's passing game will play out through this week as well as the rest of the season. very curious

Pastuer has:

CJ by 22 over Fenwick
Badin by 38 over Carroll

This one stuck out to me. McNick has beat Alter once dating back to when the league website started. Which you have to use the GCL South website to find it.

Yep. In 2021. They have had several close games since I started paying attention in 2011. At least two I remember Alter won on last minute(s) game winning drive. So I guess McNick is due?😉

I have tried to explain to people on here for many years how the small catholic schools get their students. They will pick up on the fact that they are coming from 5-6 feeder schools not knowing that may be 15 boys in a class.
They see Moeller and X getting kids from everywhere and instantly think all privates do it. Moeller's 2 best football/baseball players live 5 minutes from Badin HS.
That is not to say these schools don't get kids from outside their area but it's not like most perceive.
