GCL co/ed 2022

So anyone look at the latest enrollment number thread? Do we anticipate any movement in the Coed? What stood out to me was Alter 189, that’s not a D3 enrollment . Is their CB number that high?
Yes; but they should be going to DIV next year right? or does the other thread say they are back in D3?

The other thread doesn’t say because the Competitive balance numbers aren’t applied yet. With 189 males that CB number would have to be very big to keep them in D3.

It won't matter. This will be rebuilding year at Alter. Hard to say that and not say reloading. They have a total of 7 seniors not all starters returning. This will be a challenge for Coach Domsitz. They will be very young.

Alter down to what I believe is 6 seniors, but huge freshman class, although I heard some Freshman football players were granted admission, no idea why

oh wow, only 6? what is going on in kettering? I know of some issues in recent years, didn't realize it was affecting them that much.

A lot with their grade is just the sports they play. A lot played in Peewee but when it comes to high school, they decided to play baseball and basketball. Playing three sports is very time consuming not to mention the effects on a 14-18 year old's body. It is only this grade which is what is weird.

Alter last time enrollment count: 231 Boys CB #60 = 291 (DIII 272- 377)

Alter 2022 enrollment 189 boys if same as last time CB #60 = 249 Last CB division breakdown (DIV 209-271)

Odds are pretty good they will move down to DIV

When do they announce if they move down a division

What are the new rules on NIL in high school?
Issue 12B is a Name, Image and Likeness proposal that mirrors changes made at the collegiate level in the last year. This proposed addition would now allow student-athletes to sign endorsement agreements so long as their teams, schools and/or the OHSAA logo are not used and provided there are no endorsements with companies that do not support the mission of education-based athletics (casinos, gambling, alcohol, drugs, tobacco).

In addition, issue 4B would permit a student enrolled at a member public high school that does not sponsor a team sport in which the student desires to participate to petition to play that sport at a public school located in a bordering public school district pursuant to the bordering district’s duly adopted Board of Education resolution.

Badin now has official plans to put a field (actually 2) up on the hill behind the school! Hope it all comes together, looks pretty nice and could be a big boost for the program! I think they still have to get some zoning changed but hopefully that is not a issue

That’s great news! The pictures look great! Can’t say I’ll miss the Schwarm! Well that is because CJ usually comes home with an L ? I can remember some heartbreakers there. Hopefully we’ll have better luck in the new place!

Just heard that Braden Moore of Badin commited to UC. Congrats.

Add another "Hometown Hero" to the University of Cincinnati football team as Badin High School's Braedyn Moore joined the fray Wednesday afternoon.

Moore, a 6-foot-2-inch, 190-pound safety, is rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports.com and the No. 7 recruit in the state of Ohio among the Class of 2023

Kudos to this young man and the coaching staff at Badin for their work with Braden. He was offered by some very good big ten teams as well. UC got a good one with him!

Anytime you can have someone in house it is always more beneficial than relying on an outside company/trainer. More interesting to me though is that he has an extensive baseball coaching background. Hmm, may make the rumors of a baseball coach moving to the school district he works and lives in after this season quite possibly true

Badin
CJ
Alter
Mcnic
Carroll
Fenwick
badin - yordy has got those guys rolling but will be young, expect them to still be good
mcnick- brings back a lot of key guys but a new q, good system
fenwick- something about mueller that makes me think they’ll be better this year, good athletes
alter - heard they only have six seniors coming so will be young, let’s see what domsitz can do
cj- new coach new system don’t know how much will change but lose a lot especially chandler
carroll- hopefully these guys can rebound and find a tune they have a few dudes but not a complete team

Badin - Program is rolling
McNick - getting the consistency they need
CJ- New coach knows what he is doing
Alter - Young, could surprise
Fenwick - No surprise they will struggle
Carroll - man wish they could get it going

This looks about right. Similar to last year.

don't question Domistz ability to coach, ever since i have been there. Domistz has proven to win and always will win. so don't question the minds of the great coach Domistz.

Badin v Hamilton in Week 1 the next 2 years. Good to see these public v private matchups in the same city. Should shape up to be a good game!
