Instead of Monroe and Franklin leaving. I have heard talks of Edgewood, Ross and Talawanda joining the conference. I think a 4th team would be needed (since there are 4 schools leaving), but this could allow for a divisional split that could make people happy. This could lead towards a division split like something listed below.
Big Schools: Franklin, Monroe, Bellbrook, Talawanda, Edgewood, Ross
Smaller Schools: Eaton, VV, Oakwood, Madison, Waynesville, Brookville, Carlisle
That too is a discussion being had. Ross, Edgewood and Talawanda are likely a package deal. However adding, Monroe and Franklin to the SWOC is also a topic of conversation that is happening behind the scenes. Monroe appears to be more in favor of it than Franklin from what I am gathering.

If there's an opening in the Miami Valley League, I'd say Bellbrook would take it. Then Sidney can go to the Miami division where their neighbors are.Would Bellbrook stay? Travel would be a bear
if you get the SWOC trio, i like the Massie add a lot. not so much blanchester or mt healthy. massie is competitive in everything and gives waynesville and bellbrook a closer rival. part of me wishes bellbrook went to the MVL with someone..Seems that in the next 5 years the SWBL is in for some changes beyond the exit of the current 4. Monroe, Franklin and Carlisle are better suited to a Cincy-based league. Bellbrook moving to the MVL is a possibility but ending a 45 year partnership with the SWBL is harder for them than Franklin or Monroe.
Let’s look at what schools could be moving in.
Hamilton Ross, Talawanda, Edgewood. What about Clinton Massie? What benefit is there to the first three in joining the SWBL? Mount Healthy might be a good add. Facilities are top-notch, could be a great add in all sports. Blanchester? Little Miami? Thoughts?
it would work, but any crossovers to greenville or sidney would be nightmares. play 5 divisional and 2 crossovers to potentially avoid thisBB and Franklin to the MVL South, with Xenia, WC, Fairborn, and Stebbins. Sidney bumps to the North with Troy, Piqua, Greenville, Tipp, and Butler.
Leaves the SWBL as an 8 team league. Monroe, Oakwood, VV, Brookville, Eaton, Carlisle, Madison, Waynesville.
This would probably save the SWBL, because I do not see Waynesville, Madison, and Carlisle sticking around long with the bigger schools.
Are you saying that the SWBL should add Trotwood? I find that very unlikely and don't see why either side would be interested in this.Add Trotwood. Gwoc shouldn’t of let them go
the GWOC has two legit reasons to let trotwood go..Add Trotwood. Gwoc shouldn’t of let them go
And what two reason would that be?the GWOC has two legit reasons to let trotwood go..
1. trotwood struggles to field teams in Freshmen and JV sports, and even some varsity teams. This leaves the rest of the conference with open dates to fill for these games, which isn’t easy. And what two reason would that be?
Trotwood wasnt the only team struggling to fill freshman teams. Lets also remember that was only this year on jv side and they had a tornado right before school. Im sure it wasn’t that hard to fill golf1. trotwood struggles to field teams in Freshmen and JV sports, and even some varsity teams. 2. Lebanon left so that would leave them with 9 teams including trotwood. with the MVL forming, there was no obvious member that would join with trotwood.
some may call it racist but may i remind you Springfield is also a “majority african american school” and they are welcomed in the GWOC. this is by no means a racist matter. i’ll mention Trotwood would have been the smallest team in the GWOC by a large margin as well. Trotwood is in a tough situation and i genuinely want the best for them. but Trotwood doesn’t really have a good match right now. if Lebanon ever decides to return to the GWOC, i’m sure Trotwood will be the first school to get an invitation.
Trotwood needs a league. Nobody with common sense joins DPS and playing an independent schedule isn’t easy to do look at Winton WoodsAre you saying that the SWBL should add Trotwood? I find that very unlikely and don't see why either side would be interested in this.

being an independent is probably best for them at the moment. they can schedule at will and then other schools don’t have to worry about them not having JV teams, etc. i’m sure in a lot of sports, they will be playing the DPS schools anyways. i saw meadowdale on next years football schedule. but by no means should they go to the dayton city league. some may compare trotwood to an “inner city” environment, and it may be the closest thing in the dayton area besides dayton to that. but trotwood has been nice before, and i know some nice people from trotwood myself. stay independent until the GWOC expands, then try to get back in. trotwood will be fine. With all due respect, the fact that you feel the need to point out that race and/or racism isn't a factor says a lot about the situation. Trotwood and Springfield are similar but certainly not the same. Let's be honest the Centerville's, Springboro's and Greenville's of the world don't like the idea of going to Trotwood and participating in that inner city environment. Trotwood got screwed, first by the schools that bailed for the MVL and second by the remaining GWOC schools. That being said, I don't think Trotwood is a good fit for the SWBL either. And this point, I'm not sure where they fit if the MVL and the GWOC don't want them. Dayton Public and the disaster they call an athletic department can't be appealing to anybody.
