According to the Defiance Crescent-News article in today's paper, Ohio now has it's first 8 man football league. It's name is the Northern 8 Football Conference and it's first commissioner is Joel Miller of Napoleon who also serves as the Henry County Chamber of Commerce director. It's first two confirmed school members are Toledo Christian and Stryker. Both Holgate and Danbury are expected to join in the near future. They hope to have as many as 8 teams in the conference. Commissioner Miller is open to sharing information and insights with any other areas of Ohio that might be contemplating forming their own 8 man football conferences in upcoming years.
