Last year's playoff results: Beat Lincoln West in Sectional Semifinals 15-1, and lost to Chagrin Falls in sectional finals 10-0.
Top players returning:
Cameron Perez(Sr)- Cameron will play Shortstop for us and lead our pitching staff. Last year Cameron batted .325 for the season and drove in 16 runs. On the mound Cameron went 2-2 with a 2.40 ERA with 3 Complete Games. Cameron will earn his fourth Varsity letter this spring.
Trevor Horrisberger(Jr)- Trevor will be a middle infielder for us this season and be one of our top pitchers. On the mound last year he went 1-3 with a 5.86 ERA. We will look for Trevor to have a big season at the plate, on the mound and in the field for us this upcoming season.
Andy Gill(So)- Andy started all season for us last year as a Freshman at third base, and he will do that again this season, as well as pitch for us. For much of the season, Andy was our leadoff hitter, and led the team in hitting. He ended up hitting .343 last year, which is pretty impressive for a Freshman. We are excited to see him be one of our top hitters this coming season.

1) Reise Lanier- .367 BA with 15 RBI.
2) Cody Smith-.196 BA with 5 RBI. 1-3 with a 4.58 ERA.
3) Ethan Godwin-(signed with Hiram College)- 4-5 with a 4.58 ERA. .292 BA with 10 RBI.
4) Zachary Taylor-.366 BA with 18 RBI
New impact players:
Ethan Lautzenheiser(Jr)-Ethan will play all over the place for us, and will be one of our starting pitchers.
Justin Burkett (Jr)- Justin will be one of our catchers this season, and will also play some outfield and first base.
William Schumacher(Jr)- Will will be our other starting catcher, and he will play outfield and first base for us.
Austin Keck(So)- Austin will be our starting Center Fielder this season and will also help our pitching staff as well.
Korie Espenschied(Jr)-Korie will help us out this season as an outfielder and first base, and he will help our lineup out as well.
Zack Long(Fr)-Zack will be our starting first baseman and he will also help our pitching staff out as well.
Logan Barkan(Fr)-Logan will help us out this season in the infield and pitching staff.
Final Comments:
We will be very young this season in age and experience, and we are looking forward to watching the boys get better with each game. The boys have been working very hard so far, and it will be fun to see where we stand against the other teams.
Our league will be very competitive this season from top to bottom, as a lot of the teams are returning a lot of key players from last season. We have a great group of kids who are very excited about playing Varsity baseball this season, and we get to open up a brand new baseball field. Should be a fun season full of a lot excitement, and we can’t wait to get it started.
Our strength will be our defense for this upcoming season, and hopefully pitching as they get experience.
