Expressions that I'm sick of hearing

The phrase “self care” seems to be all the rage. As best as I can tell it just means being selfish.

Teenagers today misusing “even”.

My son: “What even is that”? and “Who even is that girl”? drives me crazy. It sounds so ridiculous.

In response to "How are You?"-- "I'm blessed." Really? From my perspective your life looks like a real steaming pile.

Another one- "Can I ask you a question?" Umm, you already have, thanks. Next.
Or..."Quick question"...quick for you. Not so much for me. Getouttahere

I had a job where everyone woould come up and say "quick question..." then ask a question that, for me, wasn't quick to answer.

Or. "Can I pick our brain"? No, I don't have an overabundance of gray matter as it is...I kinda need what I have, thanks.

Whenever (very rarely these days) someone asks me "Can I pick your brain?", I've always given them the same answer:

"Sure...but slim pickins..." 😄

Corporate America speak. Most corporate executives have coaches on how to behave, carry themselves in public, and talk. If you know it, you see it.

Telltale signs are the constant use of words and phrases like - align, come along side, strategic, demonstrate, fundamentally, how can we better serve, collaborate, etc.

Many times, I just want to say S-T-F-U and tell me what you are thinking without all of the BS jargon.
