Raiders B team Black (6th grade varsity/5th grade jv) avenged their only loss of the year and defeated Norton 18-0 to win the Buckeye Youth Championship.

The Raiders finished the season 9-1, scoring 234 points and allowing only 34.

They are leaving Friday morning for Knoxville, TN to compete in the "Battle of Rocky Top" tournament this weekend.

The players and coaches along with the EAA are hosting a spaghetti dinner Tuesday evening at 6:30 at the Ellet Bingo Hall. Dinners include a salad, bread and drink. Cost is $8, 12 and under $5.
All proceeds directly benefit the trip.

Thanks and good luck Raiders!

RESULTS!

Raiders lost in the 11U National Div. championship game to the Virginia Tide 8-0.

Drew a first round bye.
Game one, ended the 26 game winning streak of last years 10U champ, Westfield, IN. Final, 30-22 in four overtimes. It was a classic!

Semifinal game, defeated local favorite, the Knoxville Falcons 12-6.

12 team bracket and we were the only community team, the other 11 were all-star or hand picked clubs. The champ Virginia Tide is a three county all-star team.

We are so proud of these boys words can't describe. The Westfield and Virginia coaches stopped to tell us how impressed they were with how we played.

Fabulous season with a fabulous group of kids and football players, can't wait till next year!

So is this group real real good or what? How strong is the comp.?
This group is very good, could be better than the current soph. class. Good size and athletes galore. The key is obviously how many the privates try to steal. Good news is most are pro Ellet. Need that new high school!
Comp. I saw in Tenn. was better than any around here. The Westfield team ran a spread offense and did it better than some high schools. They were good.

This 6th grade class has some very good basketball players too. As parents and fans we are very excited about what lies ahead.

Not to mention Ellet had a second 6th grade team in the league (I believe the white team) that was pretty good. Had they won their semi final game they would have played the Ellet black team in the championship. Put these two teams together and Ellet is looking pretty good in a couple of years. Good job by the coaching staff, a lot of young ex-Orangemen football players.
