West Clermont with their 3rd loss of the season after leading the whole game and getting outcoached in the last 5 minutes.

What's going on there? New coach in over his head?
Tom Jutze is hardly "over his head". Been a HC at 3 other schools with success at Bethel-Tate back in the 2013-2017 range. WC graduated everything in Mazzaro's final year and only return 7.6 ppg with Gillespie averaging 4.5 ppg of that and Clark 2.1 ppg. Both are averaging 14 ppg thru 5 games. WC is no better than a 6th place team in the ECC this year, but the coach knows plenty of hoops and won't be overwhelmed.

I really don't think he is the problem and it would be interesting to see what he can accomplish if he's ever allowed to bring in his own assistants. The school should have cleaned house when Maz left.

Jutze isn't the problem. Team plays hard...just not much talent. There's a reason Mazz left when he did. Cared too much about his record!
Maz also destroyed the future of the program. He and his assistants treated the underclassman like crap. The junior class had 25 kids go out for freshman ball. 3 of them are left. The sophomore class is down to 6 boys. Hiring Maz was a terrible idea.

Perhaps its the coach keeping a very untalented squad competitive each night as long as he can.
No doubt.....A guy can only coach so much, somebody's gotta play. Hell, Mazzaro won 300 games at Amelia/West Clermont but apparently he wasn't too good. It's funny how much smarter coaches get when they have guys that can play.
