EBC Football 2023

Because they are so evenly matched, the fact that the Alliance-West Branch game is in Beloit this year could be a factor. Both teams will sport awesome offenses. Due to league schedule rotation, West Branch had to beat Alliance at Alliance the last two seasons, which was accomplished but quite a task. To tell you how entertaining and evenly matched the Alliance-West Branch series has been, consider this: After 18 meetings, the series is dead even at nine wins for the Aviators and nine wins for the Warriors.
The Alliance/West Branch game and Salem/Carrollton are the games I'm looking forward to the most this year

Alliance lost their big guard Jaezen Lewis to Massillon...he feels he will get more looks at the next level in Massillon...🤔
Wasn’t he already getting multiple D1 offers ? I don’t understand the transfer here. Unless his parents actually moved. If it’s just a transfer that’s depressing for HS sports. Is the portal life coming to HS sports now ? Not picking on the kid don’t know him or the family. Big loss to the Aviators imo

I guess he felt he was going to get more in Massillon. His mother did move though

Are there any teams from the EBC that can potentially make a deep run in the postseason? West Branch made it to the regional final before a loss to Jefferson. They return quite a few starters from last season.

Can Alliance turn some heads in Region 9? Outside of Syracuse commit Brendan Zurbrugg, do the Aviators have any notable starters returning?

West branch has the best chance, alliance in their region is going to make it very difficult.

Hawkins and K’Vaughn Davis return as 2 of zurbruggs targets on offense. They have a couple sophomores who have talent. Couple freshman. Time will tell.

🚨BREAKING🚨: ALLIANCE QB BRENDAN ZURBRUGG FLIPS HIS COMMITMENT TO NORTHWESTERN
I spent a good portion of my lunch break today trying to find if there were some sort of coaching changes at Syracuse and couldn't find anything about it anywhere. What are the odds this flip was tied to some sort of NIL deal?

I wonder what impact the events in recent days will have on the Northwestern decision? Also, on a different topic, I saw an interview with former S.R. coach during which it was said that the S.R. deal with Green is for one year and that after that, going forward it would be Salem in week two. It sounded like it was a multi year agreement.

Same… does zurbrugg go elsewhere? Does northwestern try and keep him. Would other colleges offer him after 2 decommits?

I get what you’re saying but you have to remember his “commitments” are verbal commitments. He can’t fully commit til December so he can change his mind a couple of times. The kid has multiple D1 schools looking at him, if they want him they will go after him. Plus the circumstances at Northwestern right now no one will blame him for wanting to look else where

I’m not really in the know about committing to schools and whatnot. Thank you for clarifying that. I know he’s a very good player and person. I’m sure any school will be lucky to have him. I just thought he was locked in with these institutions.

No problem my friend. Just wanted to clarify. He can verbal commit to all the schools. But comes down to signing the papers, that’s when the college world gets you with waiting and stuff.

I think we should be talking about how he has the grades for a offer from Yale

I figured he’s probably a gifted student as well as athlete. I can tell you if my son is blessed enough to get an ivy league look or even a military academy… I’m selling him on either or. I figured he was holding out for a offer from his dads old teammate tbh.

I think he wants to play, not just get the free education. Don't know if he gets that opportunity at Michigan
