Strength of schedule + Records line up well with what the East seeds ended up being. MTV/Liberty/Thomas in D1 and Charles/DeSales in D2 with strong records and schedules. If there's a way to calculate Strength of Record I bet it would look like the east region rankings.

I guess my biggest question is why Thomas got seeded higher than Pick Central? PC beat them head-to-head on a neutral court.

If not for that game, I get it, because PC's conference is weak (shown in the strength of schedule above). Interesting to me, but ultimately doesn't matter because both are in the same regional bracket anyway.

I think the challenge with that is to put PC above Thomas, you'd also have to justify putting them over MTV (or make MTV the 2 seed). That MTV/Thomas/PC trio has been hard to guess this year. Liberty is obviously the top team, having beat all three, but MTV never played Thomas or PC. MTV's losses were Elder, Moeller, Ignatius, Liberty, X, Berlin, and DeSales, and they later beat Ignatius 3-0 and Berlin 3-2 (I don't think the X and DeSales losses happened before seeding either). PC has a loss to Worthington and Liberty (and to a weaker than normal Darby post-seeding) alongside a list of 3-0 blowouts against easier teams. Thomas also lost to Worthington, as well as Fenwick and Badin, and then Liberty post-seeding.

So, to put PC above Thomas, do you go PC/Thomas/MTV or PC/MTV/Thomas or MTV/PC/Thomas?

Also, interesting to note that MTV went to Liberty's bracket, apparently looking to avoid Elder.

Honestly, I totally missed that Mt Vernon was the 3. When i looked at the bracket and saw the teams and where they were placed, I assumed TW was 2, PC was 3 and MTV was 4, thats why they were with Liberty. Interesting.

Thomas had a lot of injuries for the PC match, word spread pretty quickly among seeding voters. I would actually think the challenge was a strong case for Thomas to be the 2, as they went to three with Liberty and lost 24-22 in the third (played to 15). Anyone could’ve won that.
