So far we have heard nothing about any Disciplinary action to Dunbar. Anyone hear anything from the OHSAA on this
Agreed. Unless it can be proved the rest of the team and/or coaching staff stood around and cheered, or aided and abetted the offender somehow, ban the one knucklehead permanently from any OHSAA-sponsored activity, and move on.why would the entire Dunbar team be disciplined? Wasn't it one stupid player that head butted a ref?
I watched the video, and it certainly seemed to be only that kid. Other players and coaches were acting appropriately before and after the incidence. Plus, isn't the entire league on probation already anyway?why would the entire Dunbar team be disciplined? Wasn't it one stupid player that head butted a ref?
That kid better not be in uniform. If that guy plays tonight, Milford should pull their team off the field.have you heard anything about the player being on disciplinary action as result of that incident? I guess the proof in the pudding will be if he plays tonight

its Dunbar's responsibility to handle this. Its not their responsibility to report to us how they handled it.
We had a player ejected from a game 2 years ago and he was only suspended for 1 game. Did we miss something? He got ejected from game...so he's obviously out an automatic 2 games anyway. Could be why there hasn't beeen any info yet, since there's no rush because he can't play anyway

They do nothing because they are so afraid of the backlash. OHSAA needs to grow upProbably not, OHSAA is 100% useless. It has no teeth and refuses to enforce rules consistently if at all.
The exception for me would be when bad behavior becomes a pattern, which seems to be the case here.Agreed. Never once have I ever said anything about OHSAA being uncaring for enforcing eligibility.
I will say that they enforce all rules inconsistently and rarely. Watch out if you "lawyer up" because they cave whenever someone does. OHSAA is a joke, period.
the game you get kicked out is the first game of the suspensionWe had a player ejected from a game 2 years ago and he was only suspended for 1 game. Did we miss something?
This should lead to a policy that states if you touch an official it is a season long ban. Should be a no tolerance policy. Coaches also. I have seen way to many high school officials touch officials.
So if a player for the same team did the same thing this week, no action would need to be taken as long as the individual was punished? At some point, the program shares the blame and the sanctioning body has a duty to become involved.Previous program incidents notwithstanding, the punishment levied on this individual is sufficient, therefore there is no reason for the OHSAA to get involved.
