Trotwood completely biffs up an opportunity to nail the coffin before half. Stuffed on 2nd and goal on the line (jet sweep), spike on 3rd and three straight false starts in field goal formation.

17-nil Trotwood

That is definitely going to change the game for them. HUGE missed opportunity that keeps Hartley in the game.

I believe Hartley has six false starts in the first half, including a huge one on 4th and 2 from the Trotwood 32 (would’ve been a first down, off-balanced line, stacked power toward the right tackle.) Hartley is definitely still in this, but wow Hartley has played an absolutely un-Hartley like game offensively first half.

Looks like Trotwood’s LB #6 just ripped his ACL
...so, what was the story here? He took a helmet to the knee it looked like and was immediately screaming, the Trotwood trainers came over and after a couple minutes he let out another scream (that one was heart-dropping to hear) and he had to be carried off. But then there was #6 in the backfield for Trotwood on their final drive. Did Trotwood have two #6’s? Or did he not suffer that bad of injury? Very curious about this and hope he’s alright in any case.

It was a knee injury the plan was to hold him out with the 4 TD lead. But then Hartley went on that run so he had to play.

Hartley just doesn’t have the speed or power for a team like Trotwood.
Hartley had enough of both, but it took them too long to take the Trotwood speed into account. And with that late sack by #3 that pretty much sealed the game, it seemed like the Hawks were still underestimating it. That kid was fabulous to watch.

Not just on that one. Without Hawks defense shutting down the run on those short fields and Trotwood mistakes, it could very well have been 35-0 at half. When they got penalized out of the kicker's range and lengthened the field, I was seriously worried that they'd come away with another TD pass instead of just 3.

For sure. Kids name is Sammy Anderson. Last week against Badin he had the game sealing pick-six. Against Wapak he started Trotwood’s run of 20 unanswered points with a punt return touchdown right out of half. He knows how to win football games. There’s a reason he will be playing at Cincinnati next year.

Sure. With a national tier all star that you recruited in from Nebraska. No wait... You're going to claim that he "just showed up."
He was at Athens in second grade. Burchfield gets his in middle school. Pick Central tried to get him but settled for two D1 basketball players from Athens

Families on the east side already have Hartley in mind when they send their elementary kids to All Saints, Berwick Alternative or a non public charter school. I know that because I'll speak with them. I know you have a pathological hatred of the Catholic schools and are disinterested in and oblivious to the facts, but I'm going to state them anyway. Hartley recruits students, not particularly athletes. And has never taken steps to limit enrollment for any reason much less sports. Root against them all you want if that makes you feel good.

Im curious. How do you "under estimate" speed ? Either you can keep up or you can't. If your talking coaching, speed has always been a quality of Trotwood teams.
