There is chatter that Streetsboro's Michael Hall, arguably the best player in the Division, has broken his hand and is done for the season. They were a sleeper pick for the title with multiple transfers from Akron East that upgraded their team speed and with Hall anchoring the DL there were match up problems all over the field for most Div III teams.

Competitive balance really opened up this Division. Toledo Central Catholic and Benedictine, a couple top 10 teams in Div II, are solidly in Div III enrollment wise without a multiplier. Not trying to stir any pot, just pointing out that this thing would look a lot different if it was pre competitive balance times.

Akron STVM (3-1) with big wins over (D1) Solon (D2) Maple Heights and (D3) Louisville. The lone loss to Cleveland Benedictine (D2). The Irish finish the regular season with Top rated (D2) Archbishop Hoban and (D2) Warren Harding. The Irish should be well prepared for any school listed in the top 10.
