Division 3 region 10

Saw a few teams from the WBL moved down to region 10 who are the favorites in the new region.
I was just wondering about this thread! I would suspect TCC is far and away the best. Looking back last year, Celina would have been the 8 seed in this region (#11 in reg 12), St Marys would have been the 4 seed (#8 in reg 12), Wapak would have been the 2 seed either way. This region may have a bigger geographic spread than region 12. I’m start to say my prayers that Celina gets a home game.

Biggest change in the football playoffs with the expansion from 8 to 16 team per region.

Fans used to pray their team got in the playoffs. Now they pray they host the first round game.

The Top 8 has remained the main goal.

This is the weakest region in the OHSAA. TCC likely rolls through it, Wapak is a nice addition to make it a little better. Ontario should be decent again but won't be a threat to win the region. St. Mary's will be tough and Lexington has a bunch of talent. The west cleveland teams though usually can't hang with the physical teams in this region

I was going to mention Lexington but did want to be too confident. Lex has a boat load of talent but offensive and defensive line play will be the key. They could finish as high as second in the Ohio Cardinal Conference. I think division II Ashland should win it. New Philadelphia should have something to say also. As far as Region 10 it's a battle to get to play TCC in the final.

Kaden Page is one of the best receivers in the state has several D1 offers already our QB kaleb Moyer has offers to
I was looking at 247 sports, which may not be up to date, and Page has no stars and is not ranked at all in the state. Ohio has quite a few ranked WR with some of them already committed to high level programs so I doubt 247 would have missed him. Moyer is not showing to have any D1 offers. He has visited a bunch of placed but I did not seen any college D1 offers announced.

I guess 93.1 was wrong when they interviewed him said bowling green had offered plus several other schools

If you are speaking of Kaden, he does have offers listed and BGSU is one of them as well as most of the MAC schools. But he is not ranked in the state and Ohio has a bunch of WR that are ranked with offers.

Moyer is the one that I saw does not have any listed D1 offers.

Kaden has 15 offers and counting at the moment (has visited Indiana, UC and is on Louisville’s watch list/big board)…color me shocked the same recruiting service that had Devonte Adams a zero star out of high school missed talent/evaluating people even to this day. 247 hasn’t updated his profile at all in well over a month, and another thing, I don’t think Under Armour is inviting a zero star to their regional workout in Columbus for the All-American game.

Prep Redzone has him ranked but you have to pay to view their rankings. Page is ranked the 17th receiver in the state for 2026 and 127th overall regardless of position. His film doesn’t lie and the tape at camps doesn’t lie either, at minimum he should be a 3 star (put some respect on his name).

Still surprised Moyer doesn’t have an official offer from a MAC school, but know how QB recruiting is a lot more difficult evaluation wise.

Nice info the MAC/WBL talent performance is tonight at Wapak field. My daighters have their band banquet tonight so Im a no-go. Im sure Caleb if he has a season like last year and further into the playoffs will see some small D1 schools. The one player for Wapak who is a beast is Wyatt Buell plays both O and D line plus a state wrestler excited to see his season. Mullen and Bishop has been working and attending camps with Page and Moyer so its a offense not just around Page and I forgot Richardson.

All the recruiting services are money based anyway, so if you have the money you can get a few stars, as well as clear measureables (whether you can play or not). Yes, Under Armour invites zero stars to their regional camps, and camp tape is just camp tape which can be filmed it the backyard especially if at camp you're lined up 1 on 1 against a pretty bad DB.. Game film doesn't lie unless you play inferior competition (In the case of QBs, if the receiver is wide open every clip might want to have another evaluation source because frankly not too many schools play man to man, so its a blown coverage).

Point I'm making is, if the kid is good and has the measurables, he'll have a few offers and once one offer comes in, other schools don't want to be left behind and will offer also. But are these offers committable or just "we have you on our radar" offers. For QBs its about being in right place at the right time, being seen and most importantly, whose training them, not necessarily how good they are.

He has the measurables/foundation you’re looking for. Page is 6’2 / 187 lbs, has the ability to work from the slot or the X to stretch the field…definitely isn’t a one trick pony in terms of his route tree. He is working on improving his 40 but feel like he makes up for it in the initial burst/10-yard split (very shifty in the phone booth scenarios), and in the right program he can continue to develop (4.5 laser timed 40). Not to mention, he is an 4.0 student taking primarily honors/college classes already so he works his tail off on/off the field. All of his 15 offers are actionable offers for a full ride.

It’s sad though you have to ‘pay’ for stars anymore and everything is a money grab recruiting wise…but guess that’s the way she goes nowadays. Also feels like more people put emphasis on camp or 7v7 tape than actual game tape which to your point is misleading at times.

Colleges could care less about 7v7, at least the good one could care less. Maybe, just maybe when there is a good WR/DB matchup, but then again, it all lies in the QB.

Paying for stars...yeah its the way she goes until they are transferring to a D2 minus 3 school because they were exposed. Daddy needs to be more realistic.

9 times out of 10, these young men over estimate their abilities for the next level and at some point during their college careers they see it. The 5% who do make the right decision and have the right talent/work ethic are special.

If they are actionable full rides, he better grab now because in 2 months, they will be gone. Transfer portal (the spring didn't make it guys), JUCO (alot still out there) and incoming 26s will grab those spots. Sometimes these young men don't realize they aren't the "Chosen Ones" and schools recruiting depth charts get real thin about August.

Good luck to the young men.

I’m not anyone’s dad lol…he or his family wouldn’t do that type of thing with the stars either and cut corners with the work put in so far - just I think from the conversations I’ve had with college coaches, his own coaches, being there live for some games last year, and then running back the film…Page is right up there with any of the receivers in the class of ‘26 in this region (I’d say the state too) and doesn’t get enough recognition. I’ve never seen or heard anything about him being too big headed or acting like a big shot, very old school in his approach/keeps his head down and does all the little things right when nobody is watching (so no ‘chosen one’ mentality).

Recruiting is a crapshoot and different than ever before, so sure he has to make a decision in the coming months, but from what I’ve heard some of these bigger programs are taking receiver a little later in the process. Hopeful for him that a bigger fish comes along to officially offer but I’m sure he’d attack a MAC program with the same intensity/effort…just the type of kid he is.

The way that offers get passed out like bottles of water, some of them have to be worthless. You mentioned Louisville, They currently have 46 offers to WR players in the 2026 class.

This is so true. Most of these offers are lip service and dragging kids along. Unless you are a 4 or 5 star player they will tell you to wait and see if the other player commits first. Then if they cannot get anyone else they will let you fill the space they have left.
