I just looked a borofans rankings and they look pretty good. I would have a few changes as I have seen a few of the kids wrestle but nothing startling. I think Mogadores 285 is a little low. As the season progresses we will see for many of these weights.

Good Luck to All Wrestlers!!

Just to keep the discussion going...
2 freshmen middleweights from Rootstown- Youngblood @ 144 & McKibben @ 150, both took titles beating experienced seniors and looked very impressive at the PCL tournament. Cody Coontz (junior) looks like he shifted into a higher gear this year also winning a PCL title @ 157 like a family tradition.
Nice murderers row developing for Rootstown middleweights- adding in 138 Paulus (sophomore) who also won a PCL title.
Coontz should get on the state podium. As far as the other 3, it's fair to say they are at least in the mix for SQ.

What happened to Edwards?

I’m curious how Boro ranks kids that haven’t wrestled each other or any of the same opponents? You take two wrestlers that have the same record, haven’t wrestled any of the same schools or tournaments, what’s the deciding factor to put one above or below the other? Just wondering.

I would suppose that he'd go by the strength of competition and current/past achievements.

I updated the Rankings as Borofan did on 1/18 as well. I added in some of the Rootstown kids mentioned. Lets keep it going. A couple of the weights seem a little thin but I know there are good wrestlers out there.

I have updated these rankings. I added in any new additions and tried to move the weights around to reflect any changes. Feel free to make a case for anyone that should be listed here. 132 looks wide open could see som movement from 126 bumping up.

How is Quintin Burns under Joe Dennis, Mason Simms and Will McEwuen, when Will McEwuen usually doesn't make weight for 106. Also Quintin made it further than Joe Dennis and Mason Simms last year at districts.

My thoughts exactly. Have heard a coin flip is how they choose. Might not be done until Friday weigh in. I have seen most of these wrestlers at least once this year. Gives us all something to think about!
