SEOPreps server has been bareassed with 5 liter boxes of cheap Russian vodka.

What's all the drama at Arnton about?
Looks like it’s two separate things getting merged into one.

1) Pendleton’s day job (his primary pay) has been ginned up these last two years in an attempt to secure him, and of course they’re trying to keep it ‘business as usual’ moving forward. This is legal — Ironton is not the only place that does this.

2) Ironton has federal money that needs to be spent or returned. In typical sincere fiscal conservative fashion, they are not going to return the money. It appears that the BOE cannot agree where the money is to go.

Where #2 intersects with #1: the majority of the town at this point is on the “pay the man, football first and put all that money toward football facilities” train, but there’s opposition pumping the brakes hard on that. The opposition’s argument against this unbridled resource allocation to advance football (from what I can tell) is that the district has more pressing needs than satisfying every single waking want.

To use a Simpsons metaphor,

The contract for Homer’s union at the power plant needs re-upped. Mr Burns proffers swapping out the employer-sponsored dental plan for a keg of beer.

Short-term, immensely satisfying product (keg of beer/more money into football-adjacent matters) vs boring yet necessary long-term tool (dental plan/not losing district personnel to other firms as a consequence of consistently crappy pay + benefits.)

— — —

To use a non-Simpsons metaphor, your neighbor inherits 100k. Neighbor’s wife suggests putting into a HYSA/IRA, but neighbor wants to get a 12pk of Busch Apple first to help galvanize himself into making a recreation of Grave Diggerrrrrrrr, which conveniently costs $99,989.01

So to sum it up it's one big cluster. Makes total sense. Ironton trying to pull a Warren JFK it seems.
Well the closest thing R27 (and its territory) will have to a JFK situation is

Anyways…

Also the lowest paying teacher school in the county from what I’ve gathered.
#1 on the field, #714 on compensation to the backbone of the community.

Real Ohio energy 😤

Why they are adding a high school soccer team at this time is beyond me. Not many D V teams can field both a successful football and soccer team. However a team right down the road in the same colors is able to do it because they’ve been around longer than most…

Better attitude down the road, too.
