D7 R27 2025

Copied from the MAC thread:

Coldwater, Anna, Marion Local, St. Henry and Fort Recovery would all be one division higher if there were no competitive balance adjustments.

OHSAA should have included in the survey about other ways to do competitive balance because this is kind of wild.

Isn't it if a team wants to opt up it's to D1 only?

Why’s that? Just went into a region with MAC schools the best conference in Ohio. I don’t believe that takes away from anything that was accomplished last year. Not a team in the area who would get moved like that and not have a difficult time. Just like Waverly finally getting moved out of R16 finally let them matchup with a team they could beat. Should be interesting well enjoy guys, looks like it’ll be Danville again in this region. Guess I’m outa this thread
Didn’t diminish what they did last season at all. They will go from seeing teams from the region they’ve been in for the most part and are familiar with to a bunch of teams they aren’t all that familiar with

I agree. But I think it'll be up in the air still. Lots of good teams with proud traditions in R27 this year.

Waterford is building one. Shadyside has a good tradition. I know we don't see the likes of the Tigers, but you can't not leave them off the list.

Bet Tomlinson is really upset that his, "we will be back here next year" comment isn't valid anymore.
Honestly, I think ppl make more of it on here than anyone within the program. Talking with some of the players they’re looking forward to the added competition and level of play increase vs teams in region 27 and their “traditions”. Most forget this program is only 10 yrs old so it’ll be interesting to see how things unfold. Like someone saying be lucky to play past week 12, only 4 teams from each region do that’s so that’s a very funny observation. Eastern had a very good team last year, underestimated all year long because of their schedule. Proved everyone on here wrong it was enjoyable to watch, like I said though more ppl worry about it on here. Not really sure why Eastern might be one of the most talked about teams on here it’s pretty funny really to think a team 10 yrs in brings out so much ugh from certain guys.

For what it’s worth, they aren’t the most disliked team (on here) in their own conference.

Oh didn’t say disliked said talked about, mainly by ppl with minimal information or very strange breakdowns. Who was it comparing how they’d compete in the 2013-2019 range? Just very strange over view by some.
