nsp pulled off the miracle by scoring a td with no time on the clock and went for 2 and got it and beat monroeville 29-28 to share the firelands conference!!!
 
Anyone know the word on East Palestine? As I believe from what I've read Kennedy will be playing. Have they ever played before? I can't remember if they did.

You mean the same Blue Devils that were beaten soundly at home last year in week 1 by Malvern and then immediately dropped them week 1 this year? They would loose to Hillsdale, Malvern, JFk and CH and probably St Paul

I have a VERY hard time believing these 2 squads ever played before. I cant see East Palestine scheduling an out of conference private school with JFKs pedigree. EP has only made the playoffs in the Joe Eitel era IIRC and these 2 arent listed as meeting
As for the game, Palestine has a tough running QB who was on the cusp of 2K yards this year, depending on his week 10 stats. But Palestine cannot play defense even with a court order. If JFK is relatively healthy their 1st string wont punt. The Eagles should have little to no trouble beating a one man gang
 
Just looked it up. QB for Palestine had 157 rushing yards yesterday, giving him 264 carries for 2042 yards for the year

Opting out after the matchups are set: yes.

Opting out before the matchups are set: nah.
 
We all know ML is the "team" but not playing is outrageous. Thats when you get labeled as PUNKS. Take the blackeye, but at least throw a punch.

What a disgraceful comment to come from a supposed Kennedy fan. Catholicism is about seeing the good in your common man, and not passing judgment onto others.

Unless you go through life at your age thinking kids are punks for decisions they have nothing to do with. Which is S-A-D.

Why? The general consensus around here has been that the playoff expansion is unpopular, and it pits poorly performing teams against the top tier competition, where the difference in speed, strength, etc can and will cause more injuries.

The 16 team playoff is a joke. But not playing because it might cause injuries is a poor excuse. Don't play football at all if that is the worry. Dock has the right idea, if you opt out during the season ok. Waiting to see who you have to play then doing it is cowardly. Mind you, I'm not talking about the kids, admins and coaches make the decision.
 
Hillsdale is definitely still them team to beat in the region, but lets hope for their sake the weather doesn't turn on their passing game. I think Lucas beats Malvern, saw their game a couple years ago and Malvern kids just arent as tough, they are more finesse kids, especially in the trenches. They always have great skill guys but like a stick of butter on a hot summers day upfront.

Been saying it for 2 years. This is not Malvern from 10 years ago. They are experienced, led by upper classmen - they have athletes and protect the QB well. They will score pretty easily on Lucas. THE only question I have is playing against the gimmicky offense (don't @ me @dnis30 you know what I mean by gimmicky) of Lucas, when you havent seen it before can be tough to stop with only a week to prepare.

That said, I like Malvern by 14+

I get it. Lucas vs Whiteford last week was tough to watch. We ran into a brick wall all night and kept running. No deviation. Ugh.
