Y’all didn’t have a chance of beating withrow , Trotwood was outcoached and outmanned lolIt's just like you said. Our schedule is very top heavy, with the most "normal" teams being Alter and Withrow. We beat Alter, and really "should" have beaten Withrow, if not for some bad turnovers. I think the confidence of those wins in the last month will help.
Looks like we got our answer! Beating CJ justifies that brutal schedule, and I'm sure it will at minimum be a good game against Tipp as wellIt's just like you said. In Week 12 Give me...Week 12 Matchups:
#1 Badin vs. #16 Woodward
#2 Western Brown vs. #15 Mount Healthy
#3 Tipp City vs. #14 Hillsboro
#4 Wapakoneta vs. #13 Wilmington
#5 Bellbrook vs. #12 Celina
#6 CJ vs. #11 Trotwood Madison
#7 Hughes vs. #10 Monroe
#8 Tecumseh vs. #9 New Richmond
I agree with your picks, except I might go Wapak over Bellbrook. But I agree, outside of Badin, these games should be very competitive, very close. WB and Monroe are a rematch from earlier in the season. I'm not sure on the health of some of Monroe's key pieces.In Week 12 Give me...
Badin over NR... big
Bellbrook over Wapak...close one
Tippecanoe over TW...close one
WB over Monroe...close one
If Monroe had their fb (Jackson) I might give them the edge in the rematch bc it appears their defense is playing better but wo him they have a tough road to hoe imo.I agree with your picks, except I might go Wapak over Bellbrook. Really interesting matchups in R12. I feel like Badin and Wapak are similar styles offensively. I think both are comfortable playing in lower scoring games. I would expect Badin to win by 7-14. Western Brown and Tipp City is really interesting. WB has such a unique, high scoring offense, that's led by an outstanding QB. I'll be interested how TC tries to slow them down and how successful they can be.... and then there were 4, all top seeds survive in R12:
#1 Badin vs #4 Wapakoneta
#2 Western Brown vs. #3 Tippecanoe
Strength of schedule for each of the remaining teams according to Drew Pasteur...
Badin = #7 of 106 D3 schools
Wapak= #17 of 106 D3 schools
Western Brown= #53 of 106 D3 schools
Tippecanoe #73 of 106 D3 schools
- Not sure sos really matters at this point of the season but thought it was an interesting stat.
Western Brown can't spell defense if you spot them with the first 3 letters, they will score a bunch if you are average on defense (like most of the teams in their league) BUT if you can play defense effectively against their evn dryer-light offense you will be fine. Just need a couple stops in the game. Tipp will likely score at will.Thoughts on Western Brown vs Tipp
seems like a toss up or a tough one to judge..... any insight ?
Special teams is one area that I could see being the difference, potentially.Dang, the style you speak of is exactly WB philosophy. They don’t play good defense. I’ve seen them play a couple times now. They are the ones though that are looking for 1-2 stops. Those stops don’t have to be punts or turn over on downs. They can be turnovers, special teams blunders, penalties, anything that can give them one more possession than you have. They believe that their offense will score every time they touch the ball. Bottom line……steal a couple possessions from them and take care of the ball.
In the Evan Dyer-Light system you'll see nearly 0 punts (as they go for it on 4th down nearly anywhere and everywhere) you will also see more onside kicks in one game than you see in 2 solid seasons (if the offense is scoring).Special teams is one area that I could see being the difference, potentially.
Western Brown's kicker hasn't attempted a field goal all season and has missed 13 PATs. WB also has no punting stats at all on their conference site, so have they not punted? Makes one worry if Tipp is able to force them into a 4th and long in their own territory how they'd even handle that or if they're prepared to. Even if they have punted, I have to imagine it's nothing to brag about. Kickoffs also show no stats, but based on their kicking game I have to guess it's not gonna be a touchback with much consistency.
Meanwhile Tipp has arguably the best kicker in the entire state in Jackson Kleather. Has not missed a PAT and has made a handful of field goals of 45 yards or longer this season. Even lined up for a 61-yarder in the Piqua game that was blocked. He also averages 42.1 yards per punt with a long of 60 and 19 punts downed inside the 20 this season. Kickoffs are mostly touchbacks as well.
Badin Rams will have their hands full with a quality Wapakoneta team whose only loss was to a strong Marion Local team. Tipp City may come out with a huge victory against WB. Based on how WB has been playing in their pass happy offense, they may not be able to really make the playoff push they all hope for. They struggled pretty bad with an average Mt. Healthy team. It'll be interesting to see what happens in this juggernaut of a region.... and then there were 4, all top seeds survive in R12:

Give me the Rams of Hamilton Badin and the Red Devils of Tipp City!!!!
Yeaaaa that aint gonna happenUsing the always flawless transitive property, Badin & Trotwood both beat CJ by 7, and Tipp beat Trotwood by 29, therefore Tipp will also beat Badin by 29 /s
