D1 State Championship - Davidson vs. Jackson

Colby, Fitzpatrick and Sean Ryan put that team on their backs and carried them through the tournament, other players stepped up but those guys definitly deserve the most credit. Reasoner stepped up huge but Sean and Colby and Fitzpatrick really carried them, if you take any of those guys out of the equation then Davidson doesn't win states.
 
That is the same about any team though. You take out their top 3 players, you will not win nearly as much.
 
That is a good point, and very true, but its different in the state tournament because it is so easy to dissapear in the biggest game of the year when your getting double and tripled teamed but Colby didn't do that and Sean marked every other teams best player along with Campbell and didn't give them anything. Fitzpatrick made so many great saves along the way too.

So weird to think that Davidson almost lost in the district semifinals to Olentangy Liberty. Weird to think that if they did, people would be saying they were really overrated to begin with, now they are getting rings. Pretty cool stuff
