CVS drops selling tobacco

I am with pvor here. I see a MAJOR distinction between a private entity choosing what they are going to sell and a government making that choice for everyone. If the government is going to make the choice... It better be on smoking which they can argue is a public issue and not soda pop which is absolutely a personal choice.

At the same time, we need to acknowledge we are basically a socialist country now. With that being said, taxpayers own everyone. As a taxpayer, I own your health since I am paying your healthcare bills. I should be able to tell you what you can and can't do with your body.
I stated all along that I know CVS has the right to not sell tobacco if they choose not to. I'm just saying that between the government(NY example) and companies(CVS) the movement to control everything we do, IMO is getting extreme.

A lot of people find smoking offensive, I being one of them, but as I have been stating where does it stop?

What the hell are you talking about? It's not like CVS is the only retailer selling tobacco products. The tabacco industry will probably not even notice they stopped selling their products.
