I went to the Riverside meet today and felt that the staff at Riverside and GCXC did a great job. The weather cooperated. The course was a tad wet but held solid after 5 races. It was great to see parents social distancing, staying away from team camps, and wearing masks. I think everyone enjoyed getting back to some resemblance of normalcy, or at least the opportunity to race again after 9 months. Let's hope the rest of the season can move forward as scheduled!

We ran at the Moeller Invite on Friday (http://live.finishtiming.com/meets/202000405/events) and the Bob Schul Invite at Milton Union HS on Saturday (https://www.speedy-feet.com/). Both meets were very well run and organized, and did a great job of following all the new guidelines. The smaller races (150 or less) were actually nice as it made it easier for runners to move up during the race and not as many big packs. Moeller allowed spectators and everyone I saw had masks on and wasn't too crowded (other than near the finish area). It felt amazing to be coaching again and seeing runners compete and have fun after having missed track season. Hope everyone else had great experiences at meets this weekend and we can keep this going.
