Ryan Kalkbrenner: Naismith Defensive Player of the Year

Ryan Kalkbrenner from Creighton University has been honored as the 2025 Naismith Men’s College Defensive Player of the Year. This award celebrates his outstanding defensive capabilities in college basketball, particularly his shot-blocking and rim protection, enhanced by his 7-foot stature. His college legacy won’t be that of Magic, Bird due to them staying in school (and Magic winning a title), or even a Melo since he won the whole thing, but Cooper Flagg is going to be one those guys I will talk about seeing play for many, many, many years to come.

Idk why, he's good but when I look at him I don't see a generational talent.
