Contingent Election

269-269 electoral tie

From what I read, the Senate votes and elects the Vice President. The House (with newly elected representatives) votes and elects the President.

Can you imagine the chaos?

No doubt the Leftists are gonna try and dump truckloads of anonymous ballots into the system for weeks after Nov.3rd. No doubt the lawsuits are already drawn up and ready to be filed. When this election goes to a joint session in January to be decided, normal people have a 26-23 advantage in state delegates. Plus, normal folks control the Senate. No worries, it's all good.

Lol, no doubt. Anonymous ballots. Hahahaha

It would be Biden/Pence. 25th Amendment within weeks.

Not necessarily. It’s not a straight HOR vote. Each state congressional delegation counts as one vote, and the winner needs 26 states.

Trump would actually have a decent chance of coming out on top.

If there is a contingent election, the newly elected Congress gets to vote and if the House does not elect a President by Jan 20th and the Senate has elected a Vice President, then the Vice President will be acting President
BTW House chooses a President from the 3 highest vote total candidates

BUT it gets better, if neither the House not the Senate chooses a President and a Vice President before Jan 20th; the Speaker of the House becomes acting President; So we could end up with the first woman President -Nancy Pelosi.
