girls golf is probably the fastest growing sport. if you want to earn an easy scholarship to play golf in college, start early! colleges are so desperately trying to find girl golfers, they recruit players just barely above average. unfortunantely i didn't start early enough, so d3 is all i'll be able to play.

Who is the girls golf coach in Tallmadge now? I know Mr Arbour was the boys coach when I was in school - is he the girls coach? Is he still in Tallmadge?

the girls coach is mr. shomo, this was his first year. arbour is still coaching the boys, with zirke as the jv coach. coaching the girls last year (my first year playing) was gary artz, brother-in-law to mrs. fluke (guidance counselor) and father to #1 golfer on the ou girls golf team - candace artz.

Hoover had a really good golfer Julie Spitale, but since she graduated the team has struggled. Not sure where she went to college.

i haven't heard of her.. i just started golfing my sophomore year (i'll be a senior) so... the best girl i've played with was this girl named cara mantis from jackson at sectionals... i think she went to state. her mom walked with us at sectionals... it was one of those things that parents got too involved. another excellent girl i played with is joanna traeger from revere. something i noticed about good girl golfers is that they all seem to have a stick up their booties.
