While it sounds like the Guys have dealt with adversity and credit to them they have overcome it and produced a historical season, there could be much worse. I think it’s become a commonality to go before school during the week I know Rodenberg has his guys come in at 630 am everyday Monday-Thursday for film twice and lift twice and lets them sleep in Friday. Seems as if the standard of time put in for these high school guys gets raised every single year I mean it’s honestly getting to the point where you need to step back and remember these are just 15-18 year old kids in which maybe 5 percent of them have true aspirations to play at the next level and about 1 percent go on to get scholarships but the amount of time a lot of these coaches have their guys doing makes me wonder where the trade off is and if all that time is really necessary cause obviously it tough on the kids. I mean 1 and a half lift before school 8 hours of school 2 hours of practice call it one hour of homework that’s a 13 hour work day for a high school student I mean definitely develops some tough nosed kids but where does the line get drawn?Once again all the "crap" the jackets have dealt with.
since wk 1 they have practiced on wednesday mornings (6am and a few of the moms cook the boys and coaches breakfast)
Show up today , flip the lights on the field and nothing. No power. Go inside to the gym , flip the lights on nothing.
Had to eat/stretch and warm up in the dark. they waited until it was finally light enough outside to go out and practice!
School is CANCELED today. but they got their work in.
