Taylor's student section understood the assignment last night! They were electric

So, vote must have been split evenly which is fascinating. 30+ players on 1st team so there should be no complaints about who made/did not make it especially for a weaker conference year.
I might wait to see how things play out before I call it a weaker conference year. The CHL had 3 teams with convincing wins to advance to round 2 in DIV, and Madeira had a nice win over a 9-1 Williamsburg team to advance in DV. Not a bad showing.

If you can't nominate yourself (10 schools so 9 votes total)

There had to have been votes for other coaches ? Rodenberg maybe stole 1 or 2 ?

I would make sense then 4/4 for dransman/Hancock?

madeira is so hard to figure out , UNLESS the top 3 CHL are just that much better this year.

Madeira with big wins over 8-2 Batavia and 9-1 Williamsburg

Hopewell really loves playing out side of the CHL lol thats been his 4 biggests games of the year.

That’s wild!

That’s wild!
good for them and the CHL overall for sure!

But how they couldn't keep it competitive vs the top 3 i have no idea.

Madeira vs Wyoming 35-7
Madeira vs IH 41-14
Madeira vs Taylor 36-12

Looking at Williamsburg and Batavia for some common opponents

Williamsburg beat Mariemont 20-0 (madeira beat MM 35-9)
Batavia beat reading 52-29 (madeira lost to reading by 2 , but beat Batavia 5)

Week 12 and the CHL still has 4 teams looking to make a push!

Madeira vs Waynesville - Waynesville has a stud senior QB with 2200+ yds passing and 24 TD. WV only lost to Massie by 10. and beat a good Brookville team by 30. I don't know if Madeira has another magical game in them. I think WV is 2+ TD better this week. 34-20

Wyoming vs Alter - Dupee had his biggest game of the year last week for the Cowboys 320yds and 4 TD. Not many rushing yds like normal for the Cowboys. Alter with their QB back will be a tough out , they shut out 8-2 7th seeded Eaton. This could come down to D and who has the ball last.
Cowboys win a close one 21-18

Indian Hill vs Massie. Common opponent is Harrison. IH lost to Harrison big , Massie Beat Harrison by 4. I think DD will get a lot of touches again but I don't know if the IH D will be able to slow down that running attack/clock eaters. CM has 4 RB's that total 2150 yds and 23 TD so alot of fresh legs to run the ball. Massie will be a tough task for IH. Massie by 2 TD 24-12

Taylor vs valley View- Taylor coming off a dominate win over Urbana. VV scored late to hold on to a W over New Richmond.
Taylor had 5 different guys score TD's their D was just as impressive as its been all year. No common opponents for either school.
VV doesnt throw it much. Taylor has given up rushing yds BUT has been able to score as well. This should be a good one on paper.
I am rolling with the Jacket Train in a close one! 27-24 Jackets ! which could set up an All CHL matchup!

You can bet Clinton Massie is reviewing the IH/WYO film to learn everything they can about how to stop the IH run game. WYO/Alter should be interesting. Neither team is the team they were a few weeks ago or earlier in the season, at least not offensively. WYO has had to redefine itself as a passing team, and Alter gets their QB back. Both have good defenses and WYO has been strong on special teams. Not sure about Alter, but they're always solid and well coached. Glad it's being played at WYO! Best of luck Taylor versus VV.

Alter was 5-5 BUT here is their losses

13-10 to Badin
7-3 to McNick
36-7 to taft
24-7 to D1 Fairmont
17-7 to Bellbrook

should be a good one.

Urbana just uploaded their stats.

Lantz their QB was avg'ing 211 YPG . Taylor holds him to 135 yds passing and 51 of those came on a broken play where to corner fell at the line of scrimmage that resulted in the only TD of the game for Urbana. Also only game where the QB had negative rush yds.

Taylor allowed 30 rushing yds on 22 carries. One of their better performances vs the run all years.

Maderia vs Waynesville- This game is hard to get a grip on because both of these teams have their highs and lows. Maderia with getting blown out by all 3 of the CHL top 3 teams and losing to Reading, and Waynesville losing by 40 to Valley View. But Maderia upset both Batavia and Williamsburg and Waynesville beat a good Eaton and Brookville teams by 27 points. Its honestly a toss up and I can see Waynesville winning by 20+ but also losing by a FG as time expires. I think I will settle somewhere in the middle and pick the Spartans to win by a TD. Waynesville 31-24

Wyoming vs. Alter- Call me crazy, but Wyoming is going home early this year, and I have them getting upset. Alter is a tough physical team. Sure they have 5 losses, but unlike Wyoming they have played great competition all year, and they are battle tested. Also Alter has a tough defense. I think it will be a close low scoring game, and whoever gets ball last wins, but I trust Alter more to win a game like this. Alter 16-14

IH vs CM- CM is going to pound IH on the ground, and not so sure they stop it. But IH will compete and keep it close IMO. But I am taking CM in this one by 2 TDs as well. CM 28-14

Taylor vs Valley View- This game is going to be a good one, but if Taylor wants to win they better be ready to score some points. Valley View very nearly had a bad bad bad loss to NR last week. Taylor steam rolled a solid Urbana team. I think Valley View needs to know that they can't come out and mess around and start slow, or Taylor will sting them (no pun intended). But I am 0-2 when picking against Taylor this year... this is a tough one though, but I am taking Valley View in a barn burner. Valley View 41-34

How do you get 10 schools in the CHL? Please enumerate...

Why are you glad it's being played at WYO? Casual fan but Alter travels well as a team as they do not have a home field. So every game is an away game.

May not be a detriment to Alter but it could definitely be a positive for Wyoming.

Once again all the "crap" the jackets have dealt with.

since wk 1 they have practiced on wednesday mornings (6am and a few of the moms cook the boys and coaches breakfast)

Show up today , flip the lights on the field and nothing. No power. Go inside to the gym , flip the lights on nothing.

Had to eat/stretch and warm up in the dark. they waited until it was finally light enough outside to go out and practice!

School is CANCELED today. but they got their work in.
