Canton McKinley Football 2024

McKinley took a knee on the half yard line to run out the clock.

Far fewer penalties in the 2nd half, but way too many for the game. Perry will take advantage of those free yards.

Blaming a single board member always strikes me as personal. The board has typically just been a rubber stamp for whatever the superintendent wants, so clearly you just don't like the guy, but no board member has enough power to set an agenda in any district unless that district is completely dysfunctional. Ask the other 4 board members is he runs Canton City Schools, and if they say yes then ask them why they let him.

It's sad how bad the Fed has become. McKinley will run through them playing bad football. What a shame for Stark County.

Rinaldi was the president and he can be blaimed. And yes I don’t like him.

McKinley needs to cut down on the penalty"s if they expect to beat Perry. McKinley"s defense is as good as the Perry defense.

It should be a close low scoring game.

McKinley beats Perry friday night! McKinley defense shuts down Perry's offense. McKinley has played 3 teams better than Perry.

Beat Warren by a TD despite suffering a pick 6. Lost to Avon by just 7 points. Watch the Cass Tech-Rockford game that Cass Tech clearly outplayed them. Rockford was Ranked 2nd in the State. I pick Cass Tech to win the State Championship. McKinley has clearly played a much better schedule than Perry has. Warren Harding beat Perry! I pick McKinley to beat Perry 14-7. So what is so cocky about that?

As soon as he quits drinking the red Kool aid and realizes that Cass tech are no world beaters and nothing more than a average inner city team the better off he will be.

They have been a 4 loss team the last few years. I'm not saying they are terrible just not great.They mirror Mck , average team with some athletes. Which is usually enough to beat Mck if you can be equal talent wise. Now about 4 or 5 years ago Cass finished 12-2 and was still only #25 in the state. They have had some good years in the past but I wouldn't consider them a powerhouse.If they win the Detroit public league watch what Toledo Central Catholic does to them.

Congratulations PUPS on your 38-7 win over Perry... the game was entertaining... 260 yds passing... 199 yds rushing... 9.8 yds per play...NO turnovers...a running clock.

There was some ugliness... TEN Penalties for 79 yds... from memory:

- Two personal fouls
- Three HOLDING calls
- One delay of game
- One illegal lineman downfield on a pass play
- One illegal movement by the punt team (pre-snap)
- One offside on a on-side kickoff
(I'm missing one - we left in the fourth quarter with a running clock & lots of subs playing.)

Soooo, it is better to WIN than have the alternative.... the talent is there... just wish we had more discipline... Now it is on to GREEN next Friday... GO PUPS! ... Good luck to all... (stats by Turbostats)... sam

The penalty on delay of game was planned to give the punt team a better punting position in Perry territory. Overall, penalties were much less than previous 4 games; nevertheless, still need to exhibit more discipline. The two penalties which are bothersome relate to the two personal fouls on the defensive players. Those two penalties reflect a failure to contain emotions.

The Bulldogs simply overwhelmed Perry's "vaunted defense."

The point, mouth-breather, is that you are supposed to be Canton F'ing McKinley -- one of the premier programs in the state. If that's who you really are, then stomping a mudhole in a team like Perry shouldn't even raise an eyebrow, let alone cause you to get defensive. But it does. Why is that? Is it because you know you've fallen from those heights and are now just another run-of-the-mill program? If that's where you are -- and it sure looks that way -- then maybe you should start worrying about why that is and stop getting your panties in a wad over uncomfortable truths from the outside.

Sorry bud , but you don't see me trolling any other Mck post. I left a few comments about Cass tech recently and that was simply because of the arrogance of the Mck fans who didn't think Cass tech was a team to worry about. If you thought Cass was so great more than myself and another would of picked them to win on the voting pole.Trust me your bottom feeding bulldogs aren't on my mind so don't flatter yourself. Yeah D riders 😂 😂 😂 why in the hell would anyone be D rider of a team who's rival has beaten them 8 straight years and of a team who hasn't been relevant in 18 years....but yeah dream away puppies
