Canton McKinley Football 2024

And none of that matters and you're still a goof for being a grown man on a library computer fishing for likes. Smh
And you’re an asp hat if you would read more you’d see it was friendly banter
That’s assuming you can read

the land is all owned by ccsd
it is leased to entities
why does it matter the HOFV can't kick McK out due to original contract language
this was all spelled out in the local rag when it all went down
anything else said is compromised by lack of comprehension if you did read it
or a fading memory which I haven't slipped yet but won't dog a fella for being on the back end of his road

Cass tech features a two way WR DB #1 that is very fast and athletic. They have size on both lines and can score lots in a flurry.
watch the above game and most of your answers will be found there.

Tough to give an honest opinion when I personally hold OHIO football above anything from ichigan

Thank you very much. Cass Tech is probably better than Avon. They were ranked #1 in the State before the game and #5 in the State after the game. McKinley better be ready. Good luck Bulldogs. Please watch the game against another State power.

and to be fair I state my bias

but I think Avon beats Det Cass Tech

Calpreps agrees with me.....so I got that going for me

I been watching the rankings since before the season started. Cass tech was #5 and lost to Rockford who is #2. Now Cass tech is #9. No they are not going to be better than Avon by a long shot. Avon played a bad game against Mck, and Mck besides penalties and some missed opportunities played above their heads. Also some home cooking for Avon didn't help Mck chances. If Mck plays like they did against Avon they win this game hands down. Cass Tech will have speed and athletic ability and play more physical than Mck will see till week 10. Mck or Cass tech by 7-10 points. I think it will be close either way, both teams look to mirror each other and seem to be pretty even.

fair angle to look at it like that
I happen to not enlist in the playing above or below heads deal
each week games are played and that is who you are, that is how I see it.
if a team can't execute and allows the refs to help the outcome then I believe that team needs to practice harder and get better

Avon played a great game - so did McK - Avon won, they were a good squad.

and that is why I love Ohio HS football - anyone can execute their scheme and get better no matter the talent level
and sometimes execution can beat talent and those games are gems to watch, but make no mistake McK could have won that game as easily as they lost it. Maybe that is a good thing for those kids tho, maybe that game and hearing how they had no chance to win, and then getting that close with fixable mistakes is what motivates them to work a little harder and keep getting better. In today's world it is hard enough to get kids to be motivated to do or interface with the right things that pay off throughout life like hard work ethic, perseverance, working with others, responsibility, etc...

in saying that, I think McK is getting better - through watching scrimmages vs good squads and two games vs quality opponents.
I think if McK continues to trend on the improvement from second scrimmage v Cle Hts, game WGH, then game Avon (anyone that has watched all 3 can't deny they are getting better) then they have a shot in every game remaining on the schedule.

If they keep getting better - Cass in trouble(who also has the opportunity to get better as well)

I like my team's chances and I have confidence they will improve.

Fair take I would say. I just said Avon played a bad game because I'm going on what their fans said. Most likely they are going to say that because they were suppose to blow Mck out and did not.The bad game could be credited to Mck playing good defense as well. To me Avon didn't look as good as they did against Iggy and only game I have to compare Iggy and Mck on was lake last year in the playoffs and Mck and Iggy were pretty even.

See, I never expected a blowout. I watched the Bulldogs play a really nice looking Warren Harding squad and saw a really good team that had several D1 college studs. I figured they would be a handful for Avon and everyone else they play. It’s very apparent they are a better club than the 2023 version.

I watched Cass Tech play another State power and clearly Cass Tech was the better team. The Bulldogs better be ready.

Lets go Pups...Lets go Pups...Lets go Pups!!!

  • What to watch: A week after facing one of the best teams in Northeast Ohio, the Bulldogs get a crack at one of the best in the Detroit area. McKinley fell 21-14 at Avon last week in a game filled with big plays, hard hits, penalties and mistakes. Cass Tech has some serious talent too, with 15 players holding Division I college offers. That includes WR Alex Graham, a Colorado commit. Junior WR-CB Corey Sadler, the Detroit News' No. 2-ranked player in its coverage area, is a major recruit with offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, Oregon and LSU. Senior QB Seth Sendry runs the Cass Tech spread offense and is a threat to run and throw. Freshman Donald Tabron also is in the mix at quarterback. ... On the other side of the ball for the Technicians, McKinley head coach Antonio Hall joked that "it looks like they have five or six Dante McClellans running around out there on defense." Miami (Ohio) recruit Logan Howell is a 6-4, 310-pound nose tackle. DE John Baker is a Toledo commit. ... McClellan, the star McKinley linebacker, was around the football a lot at Avon. The Missouri recruit intercepted two passes, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and made five tackles. Fellow LBs Antonio Stevens and Carlito Hall each made a team-high seven tackles. ... McKinley's defense also features standouts up front such as tackle Dior Garner (Bowling Green commit) and end K'Vuone McNeal. ... McKinley QB Kam Montgomery completed 22 of 31 passes for 158 yards, two touchdowns and an interception last week while under heavy pressure much of the game. Deejay Britt and Darius Hill caught the TDs. Xavier Harris caught five passes for 92 yards, and that does not include the 50-yard TD he hauled in that was negated because of one of McKinley's 19 penalties. ... Cass Tech lost its opener at Rockford 30-23 last week, almost rallying from a 17-0 deficit. The Technicians threw incomplete on a fourth-and-4 play from the 8-yard line late in the game. ... This is a matchup of defending league champions: McKinley in the Federal League and Cass Tech in the Detroit Public School League. ... This is not Cass Tech's only visit to Ohio this season. The Technicians play at Medina on Oct. 25.
  • Who will win: McKinley 26-23.

I watched the Detroit Cass Tech game vs. Rockford from the provided link. My conclusion is that Cass Tech is very formidable, if not scary, in terms of their ability to score at any time, from anywhere on the field of play. However, I don't think that their offensive schemes are very sophisticated. Canton McKinley should play with confidence and win the game, but in reality, it could go either way, due to the Cass Tech talent level. Not having to travel to Detroit, and thus playing at home, should work in McKinley's favor.

Agree and I like the Bulldogs in this game too. They have more than enough talent to win it and they really should win the Fed too, IMO. Then take their shot in Week 10.

McKinley really needs to clean up those penalties. If they do, the can be a very good team. Offensive line needs to give the quarterback time to do some damage. The defensive line is very good.

Crable is doing a good job with that defensive line.👍👍👍😉

I hope McKinley fans know how good Cass Tech is. The announcers to the Cass Tech-Rockford game were comparing this Cass Tech team to there 2013 State Championship team. They were saying this years team is as good as there 2013 State Championship team. They out played Rockford but made alot of mistakes including a pick 6. They have a ton of Div1 college players. They are Big,physical, fast, quick, and have great athletes all over the field. If they were playing in Detroit I would pick Cass Tech.

What, you guys aren't going to shock the world this week?

I’ve come to the feeling that Hall isn’t what the McKinley program needs after tonight. This is his fourth season and the penalties and lack of discipline continue to recur despite him saying “ he will get them cleaned up”. He has yet to win a game against an opponent that has talent on par with or exceeds the talent level on the field. Another year of McKinley losing to their non federal league opponents, running through the Fed, losing to Massillon and then losing to St Ed’s in the playoffs. Rinse wash repeat same old story since Hall has taken over.

Hall isn’t what the McKinley program needs
Said this for seasons but being a Massillon alumni I get caught with huge criticism as if I were trying to troll when in all actuality I want McK winning 9 regular season games and playing for the ship on a regular basis
It would do nothing but good for the tigers especially if we can keep winning week 10
But really my thoughts on hall are just that my thoughts
And probably mean little to nothing to a McK fan

Completely agree. I have posted similar comments, regarding A. Hall, for the past couple of years. His record at Canton McKinley would be worse than it is if wasn't for his QB the past couple of seasons, Keaton Rode. But my thoughts are not about any individual player(s). As you stated, now into his fourth season, the lack of team discipline and the stupid penalties continue. The past two seasons, McK has had the talent on the team roster to have performed much better than it has. The coaches that Hall has brought in, such as McClure, Crable and Sharpe, are not head coach material either. This 2024 edition of Hall's Bulldogs have become one dimensional on offense, which is very frustrating to watch. The last head coach who possessed the ability and the credentials to be the HC at McKinley was Dan Reardon, and he's been gone for over six years now. Unfortunately, apathy has developed into "Bulldog Nation" and the worn-down booster club, CCS superintendent, with his hidden agendas, and alumni which has walked away from the school and the sports programs, along with demographics, have all combined to contribute to the continuous downward slide. I am not so much disappointed in the losses to both Avon and Detroit Cass Tech, as I am how they lost. Last night's game was an embarrassment to McKinley football. And the weather cannot be used as an excuse! Every team in northern Ohio played in the rain and wind last night, not just McKinley. My last rant of the morning.... there is absolutely no imagination or innovative thinking in regard to the McKinley offensive schemes. McClure, in particular, should go back down to Texas and resume his "Offense Coordinator career" down there!
A new coaching staff needs to be brought into the Canton McKinley football program, which has the proven credentials, leadership skills and intellectual capacity to bring back to prominence a once proud and powerful program.
Peace and out!
