Canton McKinley Football 2024

Going to need some sources here lol
If true would be absolutely devastating but I highly doubt it’s validity
If it was a well known poster like IUDOGS or Mck I would believe it. Not going to believe it from someone who doesn't post alot and then just pops up to post this

easy phone call

two texas kids bolted back to the lone star state (also heard no big loss either way)
qb still there
the thomas kid you speak of is still there

so you are scoring 50% with your hot take
keep at it - you can do better

Running clock…. D2 Avon 37 vs D1 Bulldogs 7
I would like to see it ,but you hung 28 on them last year and I don't think Avons offense is better this year. You guys lost your stud running back. Mck defense I would say is better than last year. Anyways I think Avon still wins easily.

A lot of weird sandbagging going on in here lmao Avon 31 McKinley 10
Idk from what I’m hearing
“Cantons going to shock the World!!!!!”
Well only one person has been saying it and saying it over and over
but it is what I’ve been hearing

I am proud of our PUPS... Sure, we lost 21-14 to Avon in the scoring, but we won by never giving up... we were in the game till the very end.

Some stats... McK gained 212 yds to Avon's 332... 31 combined penalties on BOTH teams hurt the fan appeal... McK just can NOT get out of our own way... TWICE long McK TDs were called back by penalties.

Our Defense was strong... McK intercepted the ALL Ohio Avon QB THREE Times (Twice by Dante McClellan)... McK twice held Avon on 4th & One... McK recovered an ONSIDE Kick.

Kudos to our Offensive coaches... finally some offense to get the fans excited.... Our QB (#7, Kam Montgomery) was 10 of 16 passing for 117 yds, 2 TDs, & one interception... we had multiple sets, sweeps, reverses, double hand offs, screen passes, swing passes, etc (A fun game to watch.)

A nice sized McK crowd was there ... well represented by Four bus loads of fans (generously supported by Mike Cooper, who was also in attendance.)

Finally, one last swipe at Avon ... for all the wealth in this community, what a DUMP of a stadium!.... I would rate EVERY Federal League stadium ahead of this place... Please, ADD some lights!... it was so dark in this place we barely could see the fans on the other side of the field... Big disappointment.

PUPS play at home next Friday against "Detroit Cass Tech"... GO PUPS! sam (note: stats by CantonRep)

Not sure what dump you are speaking of? I’ve been to plenty of home Avon games over the years and have never had an issue or heard any complaints. To top it off you had to add the wealth comment in there too. Enjoy the loss wise guy!

Sorry not every high school gets to play home games at the HoF stadium.

As for the game break down. Pups unfortunately cannot get out of their own way. Many drives stalling due to pre snap penalties or botched snaps. After the first drive, Avons defense was the difference maker. Holding the Pups to 7 pts until under 2 mins left in the game.

Good luck finding a new week 2 opponent. 0-2 vs the Avon Eagles. Could’ve been a great week 2 matchup for many years….

I’ve been to a lot of high school stadiums and I never thought Avon’s facility was anything special, but I certainly wouldn’t call it a dump. It’s an average HS stadium, perfectly adequate.

But what facilities in Ohio can really match up to McKinley or Massillon?
None match Benson HOF and no normal HS stadium matches PBTS. Steubenville can rival PBTS when things are going well by the river. In Stark County, I really like Hoover, Lake and Green. Never been to Perry, Louisville or CCC. A little further south I like Dover and New Philadelphia. There are some really nice facilities in that Stark area.
