Staff led by a head coach that should never have been the head coach. He was terribly unqualified. And he was just GIVEN the job. Politics kills.Ive seen McKinley a few times this year, if their talent cant overwhelm the opposition their staff will find a way to lose.
Then McKinley will become the equivalent of a Cleveland Senate League programThe BOE will not get rid of Antonio Hall.
Yes. You are so right. Then McKinley will become the equivalent of a Cleveland Senate League program
Or here’s another thought. Since they absorbed Timken they are slowly becoming Timken.
Yeah. The superintendent Talbert is probably ok with everything. I grew up around Talbert. He hated Mckinley, that’s why he went to Timken. He’s probably laughing to himself. Then McKinley will become the equivalent of a Cleveland Senate League program

A few of the other CCS principals are from Timken. Talbert always has an agenda.Yeah. The superintendent Talbert is probably ok with everything. I grew up around Talbert. He hated Mckinley, that’s why he went to Timken. He’s probably laughing to himself.
He will not be renewed. The BOE will not get rid of Antonio Hall.
We have to watch though. He may try to get a certain Timken guy to be the head coach. We want the position to be open to an above average or elite coach. Not an agenda coach.I don't believe he's ok with any of this. Don't misread him.
We all realize that McKinley is not what they use to be but that's no reason to not have better coaching don't you think? Or maybe in the end this is the best we can expect from here on out but one thing I'll say no more ex ball players as coaches. IMO that experiment has failed at all levelsWhy dont you Old Guard Mck faitjful just face the facts ,The Mckinley you want to see will NEVER happen again . The talent used to be more concentrated in the city . But over the last 15-20 yrs , families have spread out all over stark county . So, Mckinley will still have talent but not total team talent that was there in the past .The depth factor and demographics has changed . It isnt the coaching 100%. You could change coaches and this yr ,at best , maybe one more win?? So, just enjoy your team .They did play well vs Massillon ( at least held their own) and 8-5 is probably what you will see most yrs with the occasional 9-4 or 10-4 type season . They are still in the top 100 of more than 700 high school teams in the state
I thought you said u were a McKinley person from the 60s. Now you aren’t. I hope you are correct, and that the CCS goes outside the system to hire his replacement. I am doubtful, however, due to the politics that are in play. If Hall truly "loves everything Canton McKinley" he should do the right thing and resign, for the good of the Bulldog football program. He will not be renewed.

I’m thinking he may be too prideful to resign. This could get ugly. If he has any dirt on people he’s going to hold it over their heads. That I believe is the only reason they may not want to just come out and fire him. Fear.I hope you are correct, and that the CCS goes outside the system to hire his replacement. I don’t think their league affiliation has anjybimg to do with it. Moore coming to Massillon and establishing it as the place for the best players in Stark County to be is huge. Imagine if they had Slaughter, Wright, and other kids than have Canton roots and if the Beachwood and Copley had transferred to McKinley instead of Massillon? Talent acquisition is huge then having a staff that can put it altogether is an even bigger factor. McKinley had serious talent this year but the on field was gross. If McK wants to be even a shadow of their former selves within the next 2 decades, they need to find someone to do what Moore has done at Massillon, but on steroids. They need to rebuild and re-focus for a new era of football. This isn't 1950, or even 1999.
On the other hand, it's hard to see how they pull that off being in the Fed and with Massillon 7 miles to the West.
Imagine if they had kids move in from Texas or an all county RB from GO, another RB from Alliance, maybe a QB from Louisville. With all of that talent they should…I don’t think their league affiliation has anjybimg to do with it. Disagree. McKinley was a national championship program in the late 90s well after the city of Canton peaked economically. Then within 5 years of joining the Fed they had fallen entirely out of relevance, not only nationally, or within OH D1, but even within their own region. This was well before Moore elevated Massillon's program to what it has become over the last decade.I don’t think their league affiliation has anjybimg to do with it. Bingo, they for sure had some talent as I previously mentioned but the coaching staff, yikes. The Texas kids seem a little overrated, the QB is a nice player but the rest I’m sure played hard but didn’t seem like a huge upgrade over what they had. IMHO All County (Stark) doesn’t scream supremely talented, respectfully. And a RB from Alliance and a QB from Louisville is nice but those kids weren’t as talented as the kids Moore has been able to bring in. Bottom Massillon and McK could’ve swapped transfers received the last few years and Massillon stills beats McK due to prep and in game coaching.Imagine if they had kids move in from Texas or an all county RB from GO, another RB from Alliance, maybe a QB from Louisville. That’s interesting, there are other schools in weak leagues that have traditionally strong programs. Colerain’s league wasn’t overwhelmingly strong when Bolden and Coombs had them humming. It’s strange that McK with everything you mentioned has fallen so hard, although I’m sure you couldn’t care lessDisagree. It’s absolutely the coaching and not the jimmys and joes over there, that’s been the problem for more than a decade now. The issue they have is I don’t believe it’s a job that coaches around the state or country are looking at as a “ I really want to coach there” type of job.Bingo, they for sure had some talent as I previously mentioned but the coaching staff, yikes. And that’s due to the toxicity of their fan base and parents. It’s insane for a high school program to be that toxic. It’s absolutely the coaching and not the jimmys and joes over there, that’s been the problem for more than a decade now.
