Canton McKinley Football 2024

This season seems to be a silent topic. Is there really that little support/interest for a once great program? They got a lot of high profile transfers and some assistant coaches. Heard a new offensive coordinator will be there this year as well.

Most likely losses are Avon, Massillon, and the Michigan team. They will likely control the Fed again. Any one have any additional insight or thoughts?

I believe there is a lot of interest. McKinley fans are just sitting back and waiting to see…….

Do you have any information on what to expect this season? Since the transfer rumors in spring it’s been pretty silent. I live in Cleveland area now but am an alumni and go to 2-3 games a year

So what is the rumor with these Texas transfers coming to McKinley? Or is it just BS?
As if you are a reputable source of legit information! :ROFLMAO:
The exact number of transfers may be in question; however, many have indeed enrolled into the Canton school system, and new assistant coaches have signed contracts with the Canton school board. Interest in the Bulldog football program exists, and expectations are high. Nevertheless, new or very recent posts have been few, as people that I personally know simply don't go to the Yappi forum anymore. If someone wants to discuss "interest levels" they should recognize that general interest in Yappi is in a free fall.

Because the interest in the McKinley program has been in a free fall for the last decade and they have lost 8 straight to their rivals. Mck fans are tired of getting on Yappi and having to read about the slow demise of McKinley football and the rise of Massillon football. If I were a Mck fan idk if I could muster up enough guts to log into the gauntlet either, it must be tough. Stay in your safe space and pray that Mck can finally beat Massillon and maybe even win a couple playoff games..

This won't be popular, and my grandfather was McKinley principal in "50s, but with Fawcett stadium no more, maybe time for a McKinley only stadium. Playing in that Benson is not very fan friendly ( except when maybe 12,000) show up for the rivalry game. I went to see grandson play for Hoover there and the attendance was pitiful. Maybe 1500-2000 total fans.

Slow demise? 15 consecutive playoff appearances. Back-to-back Fed League championships. But obviously, not the Canton McKinley program of 15 to 20 years ago. Not going to dwell on this, but just for the record, McK did win a couple of playoff games last season, against Strongsville and Cleveland St. Ignatius.

How many times do you think canton mckinley is going to wear red helmet this year
The last 2-3 seasons they have been wearing their white, red and black helmets, with the Bulldog mascot/logo on the side. Have no idea what helmets will be used during the 2024 season.

I think they are poised to be very, very good this year. They need to be wary of the one off loss like GlenOak last season. Can't look ahead this season.

You are delusional right now bro and I mean that in the most respectful way. I clearly am not a McKinley fan by no means but McKinley's program and standards have certainly dropped in the last 10 to 15 years I don't know if you realize this and I'm not trying to turn this into a Massillon thread but in the last 6-7 years Canton McKinley has been beaten by Massillon by double digit points since 2019. McKinley's last regional championship appearance was in 2009 which was my senior football season I've been out of school for 14 years now that's not good at all . I also don't know if you know this but Perry has tied the series with McKinley or as awfully close that should definitely not happen if you clearly think that in the last 15 to 20 years can't McKinley has not been on a demise your tripping dawg. I hope for the sake of the rivalry they figure it out I hope they keep coach Hall because I feel like he is a guy for the job it's going to take some time but it's not just him them kids got to buy in to that system and I don't feel like they Canton McKinley kids truly understand what it means to be bulldogs but that program had pride that stadium will be filled up every Friday night it's a damn shame I got a 23,000 seat stadium but yet it might be only 2,000 people in it come Friday night that's sad for the kids that's sad for the community there's a lot that needs to go on over there bro.

So kinda like when they would remind you the tigers hadn't played in a state final in 50 years..."dawg"lol

Not sure if I’m allowed to post this picture but Mckinley is having a huge 7 on 7 showcase next Sunday July 14th at the big practice fields at McKinley … supposed to be over 20 teams from 3 different states.. I believe it starts at 10:00 and goes until 4:00.. I believe there is a admission to get in also but not sure how much it is.. Go pups

Maybe it is just me, but I don't recognize too many of those logos. I see Glenville, Ursuline, Malvern, Buchtel and St. V. Anyone else recognize any of the others?
