Brecksville Holiday Tournament - 12/29 & 12/30

Yea that boy is a straight monster
Yea he really wanted a rematch with Evan's but just not worth it right now, like I told him him since he wash a freshman, it's nice to win tournaments and matches but it's all just practice for the end of the season, to get to sectionals healthy and to be able to perform at a 100% is what matters! He'll be back to hammer mode soon enough

132 is crazy. I think round of 16 each guy is state qualifier and above.

Carmany lost in Qters to Haskin
Ours lost to Haskin
Turner lost Qters
Burnett beat Rhoads

For sure all my ties are with WB but try to get to Canfield matches as much as possible. He is on another level. Remember state think was his freshman year when he had to wrap is head to stop bleeding. Tons of respect. Hope he wins again. Seems like a good kid. I did think he would get a big time school offer for sure tho.

Agreed toughest weight in state all division. Could see Rhoads dropping to 126 since Lautenheisher (spelling) cut to 20 but time will tell

Just looking at results. 132 is definitely a tough bracket! The Lillard kid at 152 is having a nice run. Beats the projected D2 #3 Ungrady in R16 then tops the #1 seed in the 1/4’s.

Question for those that will know alot more than I do. Heavyweight they have Padilla listed as #1 seed and Kolcheff #2 and Millin the #3, why would Padilla #1 wrestle #3 in the semi finals?

Yes that freshman year was crazy, he is a different breed no doubt, he has no quit in him that's for sure, it is killing him right now not being able to wrestle! But Doc, coach, Dad and uncle(me) all have said it's not worth it right now, like I said it's nothing major but not worth aggravating it, just need to get back to 100%! And as far as a good kid.....he is really a great kid! And as far as scholarships go to name a few OSU, West Virginia, Purdue, Rider, Kent st. Plus several others where very interested in him but he decided that Kent st was best for him being able to give him everything he needed and also still close to home, which I live in Kent so you can imagine how happy I am!

Good deal, makes sense. I seen him as a Hawkeye. Could see Brands being all over his style

Max Millin of Massillon Perry continues his assent in the 285 division. Defeats 2 nationally-ranked(ahead of him) wrestlers in becoming Brecksville champ. One of those was Padilla of Wayne, who pinned Millin in semis of state last year. This after finishing 2nd at both Ironman & Beast! WTG Max Millin!!!

Kolcheff was the one: state champ, Brecksville finalist. That goes ahead of Padilla for state champ (team not at Brecksville last year). Millin was the three. Criteria matrix was followed in that case.
