Blow this thing up

When you are losing, it always is louder, and more obnoxious. Parents complained to Faust years ago, and he told parents if they don't like it, take their kid and leave, and a fair number of them did just that.

Nope Faust ask how much ?

Good question, is anyone familiar with what the process looks like for hiring a new coach?

I thought I read they would create a search committee? Anyone got any details?

What do these kids do for training until there’s a new staff?

I've wondered the same thing. Unlike public schools, I don't think private schools have to release anything. When public schools hire a coach, I've seen them release the names of candidates publicly. I wonder if they seriously really open it up beyond local coaches. I've heard people say it will be a national search. However, history tells us that they stay close to home. Klonne and Crable were in house. Rodenberg came from Roger Bacon. Beyond McLaughlin, I wonder who some of the serious candidates would be? Even though they've had their struggles in recent years, I still believe this has to be an extremely attractive job in the world of high school football. I'm guessing they won't drag this on for too long so they can get the new coach in to run the off-season program. I might be wrong, but I thought the serious off season lifting/program starts in January.

Heard it's a done deal. New coach is a Moeller Alum, but his name is not Pat.....I'm really shocked if true.

Just assumed Pat was obvious choice, but not looking that way....guess a college resume trumps obvious choice........

No idea who you are referring to, but I have seen some people on social media lobbying for a former alum who has coached at major d-1 college programs to be the next coach. I dismissed it because i thought it would be a big step down to go from big time college programs to high school. It would be a big time home run for Moeller, but I don’t see it happening. If what you are saying is true, I guess we’ll all find out soon.

But if your youngest son will be graduating from high school and can go to a college in Cincinnati or close by, then Moeller would make an ideal job and less traveling and stress of a D1 college program.

Agree, def a home run if true, but still holding out hope Pat gets the job in the end.

Greg Hudson is the name I've been hearing.

Do t know him personally, but if that’s true, I’d be thrilled.

Yep...that's the name that I've seen floating around social media. That would be an absolute slam dunk if they pull that off. He would put a definite charge in the program. Anyone know if there is real truth to it or just some people out there saying they would like him to be the new coach. There's a big difference.

I can say unequivocally that Greg Hudson applied for the job and has been/is being seriously considered. I can also say, based on my conversations with an individual "close to the situation" that I personally believe the hire will still be Pat McLaughlin. Let me reiterate that this is personal conjecture regarding McLaughlin and I don't know for certain, this is simply a hunch based on what I was told.

Man, if Hudson applied, how do you tell a guy with his resume no? He's coached at UC, Minnesota, East Carolina, Florida State, Purdue and Notre Dame. It's unique that he would want to coach high school. It's usually reversed....most of the time, high school coaches aspire to one day be able to work their way up the ranks to those college positions.

Pretty simple, Moeller can't afford him. Plus, Pat Mac is the best choice for the job. Period! Let's hope he's named Moeller head Coach sometime this week!

I'm with you. Saw on wikipedia that he (hudson) made $395k a year as DC at Purdue.

I don't think Hudson is looking for a big pay check at Moeller. Knowing him I think he's burned out on college football, has made enough money and wants to come home. Greg would be a great hire but I think it's going to be Pat's job by the end of the week if not sooner.

How about Pat Mac HC, and Hudson DC!!

Anyone know if there are other legit candidates besides McLaughlin and Hudson? In the football forum there’s a thread that said Moeller reached out to Sycamore’s coach and he wasn’t interested.
