In the Big Ten, football-crazed Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and even part of Nebraska are expected to be pretty competitive states that can swing the election. Per current aggregate forecasts, Iowa is the only state he has a real edge in right now.
Smart, purely political move. Football is far more precious to the Midwest than it is to the West.
I agree it's a smart political move in theory. But does it hurt him if the B1G Ten doesn't have things going by the election?
