Big Ten Conference has voted to cancel football and fall sports for 2020, according to reports

And you don't think that this will have some impact on a decision regarding moving forward with high school football???
It really shouldn't. The finances and circumstances between the two are totally different. About the only thing they have in common is they are playing the same sport

And I totally agree!! However, decisions surrounding COVID are being made based on public perception and the reaction of the fear-mongering masses. I have always been of the belief that high school football can safely be played this season. Deep down, I believe this is the belief of the vast majority of school administrators. But most aren't going to be willing to follow through with their beliefs, not now, not with everything else shutting down. Football is cancelled, and 100 students from your school get COVID through outside sources, and you as an administrator are off the hook. Continue with football and just one player comes down with COVID and spreads it to maybe three or four teammates...........Now you have opened yourself up to a ton of backlash, even if it is not deserved.

If the Buckeyes aren't playing in 2020, high school football has no shot. NONE.
Sadly you are probably correct. In the current environment and with all the needless hysteria nobody is willing to take a stand. Need people to realize there are critical differences between the two scenarios and base the decision on HS football around its own unique circumstances. But that is not the way things are right now.

3 teams that I know of in our area are already shut down for 14 days due to kids testing positive. This is not going to work guys.

Crazy move. Do they not see NHL. NBA, and MLB playing right now?

If the SEC, Big XII and ACC play, this is going to decimate Big 10 recruiting for a while. Not a surprising vote if you know even a little about the Big 10 Presidents. Ohio State hired a winner as its new President.

Not so much MLB--THE CARDINALS are postponing yet another series. Ten players have tested positive since last week, along with seven staff members. Incredibly, St. Louis has played five games – next closest is Miami, with 10 – and hasn't played since July 29. If they wanted to play all 60 games, they’d have to play 55 games in 46 days. at least 6 other teams have postponed games thus far--NBA and NHL in a bubble is working!!

They won't be, so your point doesn't matter.

Read where the SEC, and ACC are moving forward with playing this fall. Don't know about the Big 12
