Big Ten Basketball 2024-2025 Season

To me it just seems like you see the same guys in the tournament year after year making long runs, Oats, Barnes, Samson, Williams, Cronin, Smart, and few of those guys end up in the big ten. I am more than happy that Michigan State got beat though. Izzo just irks me.

Is 4 Elite 8 appearances across a 20+ year career really considered “year after year making long runs?”

Cronin’s an okay coach but not sure he belongs on this list.
 
Crazy enough but Purdue only made the sweet 16 but they IMO represented the Big Ten the best giving Houston everything they wanted who went on to blow out Tennessee in the elite 8. Michigan State just looked so hapless and limited vs Auburn.
 
Purdue didn't have much more affect against Auburn early in the year. It could be a match-up thing. Not likely Houston and Auburn in the final. If so, then maybe we can get a transitive argument going.
 
Solid hire IMO but they could do better at that position.

He’s going to be at least relatively successful but I don’t think he’s going to be that guy that can put a lock on the DMV area talent.

LOL BIG only went 8-0 in the 1st rd. I guess maybe you think the committee should have put another SEC team in (7 losses in 1st rd. I believe) or ACC which was 1-4 in the 1st. rd. or BIG East which was done after the 2nd or 3rd. rd.

how many big ten teams made the final 4 ? how many made the elite 8? last time i looked 2 SEC teams are in the final 4 . Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo AUBURN TIGERS !!!!!! WAR EAGLE BABY !!!!!!!!!!!

May has killed it at Michigan, so far. Too bad he wasn’t doing all those things in Columbus instead of Ann Arbor.

I still don’t think he’s a very good coach X’s and O’s wise. OSU can and should do better than him. Regardless, he at least is getting very good talent which the Big Ten is in DIRE need of. Even Michigan State wasn’t an impressive looking team and they were our conferences best team. That in itself is a major indictment

Iowa got the #2 player, UCLA got the #4, IU #11.
Big Ten doing solid in the portal this season interesting to see where Luis Jr ends up

Good news. Conference has been so bad for so long. Maybe things are turning around but the conference needs a title in the absolute worst way. Nothing will change in its perception until the conference wins a title. I don’t care how many teams get nor how many they get to the second weekend. All that matters is that title
